With the Blues shopping Tarasenko, and his connection to Army, I wonder if we take a look? Maybe in an OEL deal?

I think that a big plus to be pushed to the potential FA's looking for a place is that we are entirely devoid of critical sports reporters here. There won't be anyone hanging outside the house driveway, bugging the family on an outing to the ice cream store, or a crowd of fans demanding autographs at the restaurant.

Tarasenko may have to retire soon because of injuries or play some amazing hockey. High Risk High Reward. We all ready know what we have with OEL. An expensive 3rd Dman

I don’t see us trading with the blues much now that we’ll be division rivals. Only a small deal like Dunn for Capobianco or something of the sort will be done with them

Disagree. We and the Blues may be on opposite arms of the competition curve. One of us competing while the other retooling/rebuilding. For as long as we are on opposite arms we make good trading partners.

No, the Yotes can not tank. We would lose the last 10% of our credibility as a team.

Not sure if Tarasenko would waive to go here. He’s got a full no-move clause, and his price would be too high I feel anyway. At 29 years old he doesn’t really fit with our trajectory and our lack of a number 1 center and his injury struggles would see him dip in production significantly.

It’d be like the Panik or Kessel trade IMO, trading assets for a scorer that underachieves here for a couple years and then dips, though panik was never much of a scorer and Kessel is primed to be traded anyway

AZ
OEL - 6 years @ $8.25m
Tarasenko - 2 years @ 7.5m

1. We get rid of OEL and the 4 additional years of his deal
2. If Tank finds game his can be traded for an asset.
3. If Tank is hurt he goes on LTIR.

How is this not a huge win for Arizona?

I think this flies in the face of what BA wants. Not necessarily a lack of media coverage, but he said he’s not going to be selling Arizona because of its lifestyle. You’re coming to Arizona to win.
