Binnington’s entire upper body was out of the crease… the guy is a grade A p***y, I’m glad he got run over.I think people are overreacting on all fronts. Perry was trying to collect a lose puck. He's made a career about going to hard places chasing pucks and very often paying a price when the other team reacts.
His skates were on the ice. Plays like this happen pretty regularly - players fall (sometimes on each other) and skates are everywhere. It is actually pretty remarkable that more players aren't injured by skates - but they aren't (probably due to equipment).
And for Binnington - good on him. If guys are charging full speed into the creese, then I have no problem with a goalie reacting this way. You can quibble about the punch from behind, but in this case it was an immediate reaction by Binnington, so I'm fine with it.
Corey Perry unfortunate ‘accident’It’s crazy how 90% of the “unfortunate accident” plays in the league are done by a handful of players, they must have gotten some terrible karma in past lives to be so unlucky.
What kind of loser organization tells its player not to go after loose pucks in front of the net. Don't do it guys you might hurt the goalies feelings.Extremely dangerous play from Perry.
Easy to tell who the oiler fans are in this thread![]()
If Perry wants to be a rat he should have asked for a trade to Florida

Blues defensemen needed to do a better job of protecting their goalie there.
Never in my life thought I'd type this, but good for Binnington. Perry deserved that and more.
