Corey Perry Skates Into Binnington's Neck, Binnington Punches Perry in the Back of the Head

Binnington should stay in his crease then. Perry never enters the blue paint
Oh?

And Pickard just stands in his net and doesn't even challenge Binnington because he knows he would get beat down by Jordan.

And surely no one could have contacted Perry, causes his skate blade to tilt and cut a carotid roughly 1/4" inch away. I was at the game where Zednik almost died. This is an asinine take. That could be because I watched the ice crew spend 10 minutes scraping off the blood trail from the ice. It feels absurd to even say this - don't skate into people's necks.
That was such a freak play, it was horrible. I can’t help but think that never falling down, and calmly skating towards the bench and immediate help made all of the difference for Zed that night. Every time someone gets knocked over and their skates go up high I still cringe.

Perry went a little too close, sure, but this was hardly a concussion/sore neck causing incident. What Binnington did after is suspend-able IMO. Blocker to the back of the head could be very bad.
Do you know what the blocker is? He punched him with his other hand.

All 32 teams would applaud their goalie having this same reaction… no problem with Binners reaction. That’s coming from a Binnington hater
All 32 teams would applaud their forwards going in to the crease hard to chase loose pucks irrespective of whether the goalie (or another player) is lying in the crease.

Based on what? Binnington has had one fight in the AHL and did absolutely nothing in it, and he weighs 170lbs. I love when people think Binnington can fight when there's no actual evidence or reason to believe he can.
