Corey Perry Skates Into Binnington's Neck, Binnington Punches Perry in the Back of the Head

Totally non comparable to the Malarchuk incident. Curious what people's suggestions are....goalie down you blow whistle? Other team immediately required to evacuate zone?

Guess we should all be furious about the play right before the goal where Pickard got leveled....which was far more comparable to Malarchuk. Should we ban defencemen from chasing down a breakaway?

Like seriously....it is a game. They compete.

And like it was said....Binner (well his head lol) wasn't even in the crease.

Pure Chaos.

Binnington tried to sell it then decided "nah".

Perry is of the dirtiest players in the league.

Should be suspended for that.
For what exactly?
Did he even make a contact? If there was head contact Binnignton wouldn't even be allowed to keep playing.

Blues fans here are talking as if Perry stepped on Binningtons head or neck.
He just went into the crease area and almost scored. Moved right out of the crease a second later only to be mauled from behind.

Absolutely sickening on Perry's part. I don't believe that it was intentional - I can't believe that any hockey player would purposely do something to hurt a goalie like that, even someone who has such a long history of being a rat on the ice - but it was completely reckless, and we're all lucky that being dangerous was the worst part; we could've seen another Malarchuk-like incident or worse.

Perry deserves a couple of games with a suspension for recklessness and because he's a repeat offender (in terms of doing stuff that crosses the line and has been suspended in the past). I have no issues with Binnington's reaction to what could've been very dangerous to his health, but I'd be fine with a fine or even a one-game suspension.

Honestly with Perry's propensity for "accidentally" falling into goalies, I'm surprised an altercation like this with Binnington didn't happen sooner.

Still think Binnington is a loser and a fake tough guy, but can't say I blame him too much here.

This right here. It´s possible, right?
Anything is possible but personally I have no idea who is going to come out of the west. A lot of players are coming out of or might come out of injury situations like landeskog, Heiskenen, Kaprisov, McDavid. I feel like the playoffs won’t resemble the regular season so much this year.

I’m probably going to be expecting less of the top teams who didnt do much deadline time like the capitals and jets.
