If he falls as low as 19, yes, it's a no-brainer. Russia issues or not.

He wont fall that low

I dont see him getting past the Caps even in worst case scenario. If there is one organization that is willing to grab Russians its them

Would be perfect for them because Ovy only has a few years left. Can hand things off to Michkov if all goes well and he comes over

I have been so depressed to be a hawks fan for the last 2 seasons and now I couldn't be happier. This is exactly what I needed to re-ignite my interest in something that I love. Thank you again rooh, you beautiful, magic man.

KD has stuck to his plan and for the most part has gone very well. my 2 cents are we draft bedard sign him and let him play 10 games to burn his first year and send him back to JR's. Just does not make sense for him to play with the Big club for 80 games with our roster. KD has said he is looking for only Short term deals and if we help with bad contracts I don't see them more then 2 years. He said its a piece to the puzzel but its just one piece. i do not see him changing. I will say after next year maybe we do a few larger contracts that are long term if the players age and curve match. I was thinking we were not going to be players in the UFA market until 25-26 but I think this could move it up a year. I still think we could move out a few rosters players and add a few bad contracts and slightly over pay on 1 years deals. IMO.

He destroyed the WHL already, nothing left to prove there.

He is 100% playing the entire season with the Hawks.

Playing in the NHL makes perfect sense, he will start to understand the pace and speed of the game. It took Hughes 3 full years to grasp it, same with Mackinnon...Bedard needs this time to learn, mature & get stronger against NHL talent..It is beyond idiotic to want him back in juniors next year..

Dude, there is ZERO chance Bedard doesn't play the whole season in the NHL.

Bedard’s shot is an absolute lightning bolt, it’s insane

he did it with reichel. he has his reasons. gives him a chance to do a full training camp and 10 NHL games but shelters him for a roster that is the worst in the league. we are not going to have 1 top 6 player on the roster IMO. DOMI is a 3rd lines. Rechiel could be but next year probably not there yet. dickenson. johnson, boris, raddsyh? 3-4 liners. I agree he has nothing to prove but getting stronger is something he needs. he is still 17. I agree if our roster was a little deeper it would make sense. you burn the year as a show of good faith from the team to him and his manager.

I bet @kmwtrucks would say that if we were drafting McDavid too. Send his ass back to junior lol.
edmonton had: how does any of the below reflect our roster. they were in year 3-4 of there rebuild. we are really year 1 or maybe 2 next year.
Hall 24
draistal 20
eberle 25
ryan nugent hopkins 22

You realize the Hawks still need to get to the cap floor, Reichel is probably up full time next season, and they can sign another top six guy on a short deal to play with him?

Reichel is not Bedard.
I agree my point was KD burnt a year for what you all thought was no reason and he had his reasons. KD thinks differently then GMS from a few years ago. we are going to be worse next year then we were this year! we lost our 2nd best D, our best bottom 6 lafferty, our best center at least the 1 st half of the year and our best wing. Putting Bedard out there with a AHL team in the NHL does not make alot of sense.

What makes no sense is him playing juniors again.

It makes a lot of sense. He is way too good for the CHL, and won't learn a damn thing there next year.
