I would have drawn a piece of dog turd for any team other than the Avs if I was one of those guys.

Lose the contest but win at life (and with the fans).

Haha, I was thinking something similar. Just hold it up afterwards, and proclaim..

It's poop 💩

Unfortunately EJ isn't around anymore.

Although after these last two games I might do that for the Avs logo as well..

DNVR/AC makin moves

Here's some info about the expansion of DNVR/All City with financials... they got north of $8 Million in venture capital investments. I have mixed feelings about the some of the end products but can't deny it's been an innovative and successful model for sports content, and it's cool that it started in Denver.

Terrible, terrible, TERRIBLE look for Altitude for the game to end up being blacked out both on ALT and TNT at the same time, looks like people (including me) missed pretty much the entire first period.

I know KSE has gallantly waived their rights to exclusivity during the playoffs but they should probably think about doing so in the very rare event they're broadcasting the same night as one of the national outlets.

The Altitude guys this morning were falling all over themselves trying to explain this away ("blame Comcast! Blame the NHL! Blame DirectTV! But don't blame us!") but it's a horrible business model that reveals all its warts in situations like last night.

Speaking of Altitude, the radio guys hired DMac, which, IIRC, was one of the most vociferous figures when The Fan was going out of their way to say people didn't give a f*** about the Avs (yes, I know, he was directed to do so by his boss at the time). Ironic.

Also, he was on the radio broadcast last night with Conor to promote his new show and I swear he doesn't sound anything like he used to, mind you I haven't heard him much since his days with Marc Stout and Willie B on the KBPI radio show.

I found that guy as annoying as shit during the game last night. I hope he is never on an Avs' broadcast ever again.

Yeah I did not like that.

On yet another side note I tried out the Guerilla Sports postgame mini-pod last night and I thought it was fine. Jesse is much better with Jerez than he was with the DNVR crew.

I think this is the guy who was on the Altitude broadcast for a few minutes as well. Moser and Rycroft don't need a buddy to joke with during a game, so I hope I never hear from him again.

Did the Avs nuke most of their video section?

They used to have a menu with a bunch of different video options, from game recaps, to coaches interviews, to Avs 360 segments, and lots more. And it would go back multiple seasons.

Now they just have one video page, with no different menus, nothing else to click on, and they have a very limited selection of videos that only goes back a couple weeks to October 19.

I just found an AppleTV app called Avalanche Desktop that has a lot of the same stuff, but it looks like it stopped getting updated after last season.

Avs have a new app but it doesn't look like there's any video. The NHL app used to have all the stuff from the Avs site, but now it has less.

What happened? Why go this route? The Avs video content was lacking before, and instead of making it better, they seem to have made it worse.

They've always had important pressers that don't get uploaded. Sometimes they don't send anyone to get video of pressers and player interviews on the road. They seem to take Sundays off and don't usually upload anything, even on game days.

I really wish the Avs would invest more into video content for the team. They're sitting on a goldmine and they just don't do anything with it. If I had access to the team like they have, I could create a ton of great content. I know they can too, even with a limited budget.

Really not sure what's going on with the Avs site this year. Almost feels like nobody is working in that department. They haven't uploaded three Bednar press conferences in a row, let alone the players interviews.

I mentioned this in the trade thread, but Guerrilla Sports might be the only resource for pre and post game video this year. They're just getting started, and could up their production a bit (for one, with better lighting for their in arena hits) but they're putting in the work and providing a lot of good content and interviews.

Screw them, done with it. Found a "site" that has been amazing this year, no losing games halfway through. Reading about how great the ratings have been in Vegas, Phoenix and SLC for local broadcasts just pisses me off. Arrogant KSE thinks they are taking care of their fans. F them.

There’s nothing on the Avs app, they seem to also have just given up providing content expect for a sprinkle here or there. It’s really pathetic and useless.
When it comes to all things media the Avs act like they have no fan and don't want any.

That's a huge get for them. Can't believe they dug up that old photo. *LOL*

This one's better, because of Pete's lean. And the 90's acid wash jeans in full display.

Photographer must have had just one idea and that's it. They literally just traded places to do the opposite pose in each photo. Guy on left leans. Guy on right puts his thumb in his pocket.
