Was hoping for a little more personally, but it seems like these guys had lots of media obligations.. They teed up a question to Sakic at the end, and then left him hanging.
Still good to see them together though after how Patty left.

He says he's probably the best captain he ever had...crazy considering that he was his captain for a very short time and for an unsuccessful playoff run.

Yeah he caught himself about to say "probably the best" and realized he needed to change it to "one of the best" so it doesn't offend Mikko Koivu or Logan Couture.
He was really glowing about Landy. Said he was incredible and one of his best buddies on the team. Which is high praise since he was only on the team a few months.
There is no way that dude isn’t one of the worst captains ever. I wouldn’t follow that guy into a brothel featuring 20 Kate Beckinsale clones.

I hated that guy when he played at Minny. However, he seems like a good dude.
I didn't like Shaq or Barkley when they played either, but they are both good dudes, and I enjoy them on TV now.

Kind of gross how casually she and the other two talked about this. We've really normalized just outright lying.
Not only that she just casually throws shade at the very job that got her where she is today. "Yeah the coaches usually just spout the same bullshit every time so I just strung together some cliches and it ain't like any of them would correct me."
And I get that sideline/rinkside reporting isn't exactly Pulitzer Prize-winning material, but come on.
Feels like especially bad timing on her part because I can't log onto Twitter/X without seeing an ad prominently featuring her for the last week or so. Probably kiss goodbye to that endorsement deal now.

Outside of certain outlets that intentionally lie for propaganda purposes, actual reporters are usually held to much higher standards. Especially non celebrity anchors who will usually be blackballed to an extent and have awards they received revoked.
Even big name anchors face consequences, like when Brian Williams was suspended for 6 months without pay for lying about being on a helicopter that was shot at in Iraq. He probably should have been fired, but I imagine with his contract it would have invovled a lengthy court battle that could have cost them a ton of money if they lost.
Instead, this is the response from her employer (though I imagine their stance may change).
“She was telling a story from 15 years ago.”
