Probably trying to pick guys who already lived in the area. I don’t know for sure if Yan did but I know Ken Klee has been living in Colorado forever, well before he actually played for the Avs.
Yeah, Klees have been there a long time. I even played tennis with his wife once. (She's quite good, btw.)

Is throwing bean bags into a hole an American thing? Are there actual places where you can go and do this?

Not only are there places to play this game ( frequently called 'corn hole') but it is actually on ESPN and other minor sports networks. There is a 'professional' league which I do not understand, because I always felt that this activity requires a lot of beer drinking, but the professionals take it very seriously and only drink Monster, or whatever drink sponsors them (but not beer.). Of course, Americans - for many years - religiously watched bowling on TV.

This game. It's gotten pretty popular in the U.S over the past 10ish years.

That's the life of a sports media girl...have your parents pay for your BA in communications from Northwestern University, find a random sport, get hired being eye candy, be single long enough, and do enough interviews to find a young also single athletic stud that makes seven to eight figures (not that baseballers are athletic though). I wish all the happiness to Lauren though, you can tell she was a genuinely good person, but the cycle of these women never changes.
