You know, if the Broncos weren't so terrible, it would be kind of funny for them and the Avs and Nuggets to all go together on billboards around Denver with their logos and respective championship trophies on them, with a caption that reads, "You're move Rockies."

Maybe even add the Mammoth to up the spiciness.

The Rockies would get a billboard near it that says "Your move*"

He was fine when he started but IMO Mike McKenna is now one of NHL Network's best analysts. I'm fine with Marty Biron (and was okay with Matthew Barnaby before him) alongside Kouleas but McKenna's insights are almost always spot-on.

On a side note: Sent in an email to 32 Thoughts. We'll see if they read on the air, or pod or whatever you want to call it.

I sent one too and during the Friday episode IIRC Friedman was winding up like he was about to read my email only to read someone else's and crush my soul.

Saving Sakic follows the saga of Colorado Avalanche Chairman/CEO Charlie Lyons, as he looks to secure big dollars to save his all-star captain, Joe Sakic. After an unprecedented offer from the New York Rangers to Sakic—the captain and lifeblood of Lyons' beloved NHL franchise—Lyons has seven days to find $15 million or lose everything he's spent years building. Lyons has no chance to beat the ticking clock, but somehow, he finds a lifeline from an unexpected place: Hollywood.

Those are good additions, though I wish Klee (like Rycroft before him) would quit using "we" when speaking about the Avs. And yes I know technically he's an Avs employee but I'd like the illusion of objectivity.

Not that it matters but did Yan ever actually suit up for the Avs?

I don't believe he ever did, maybe preseason. His career stats show he played 91 NHL games. Three games for the oilers and the rest with the Bruins.

When Klee says we he means Washington, right? :sarcasm:

Although if someone woke me up at night and said "quick, name a team Ken Klee played for" (common situation), I'd say "how did you get in my house?" I mean, I'd say Toronto.
