Lying through his teeth for his boy
I really want Matthews to get out of Toronto so I can like him more.
As a Canadian I don't really hate the Leafs, I just enjoy when they lose because of the overreaction of the media/fanbase. Same with the Habs (when they are good) and the Oilers.Maybe it's because I'm not Canadian but I don't get the Leafs hate.
"I don't mind that. I like when guys get angry," MacKinnon said. "We were at an optional skate and [Kurtis MacDermid] punched a water bottle the other day. I like it. I don't think it's a bad thing if I do that. I threw my stick the other day. It doesn't matter. From 'young and stupid' to a leader of the Cup champs: Nathan MacKinnon opens up about his journey
The Colorado assistant captain's growth as a player and leader helped bring the Avs a title last season, but he's not about to rest now.www.espn.com
Pretty good article/interview with MacKinnon by our old friend Ryan Clark
I gave in and got Evoca. Its pretty good so far, although the antenna is a bit iffy at times with the free TV channels. What I don't get and annoys me is that you can't DVR anything but the games, I'm still using Tablo and have a second antenna in another room which just seems stupid, I'm paying $30/month to watch the Avs, Nuggets and DU on my biggest TV which is ok for me.Has anyone tried DirecTV’s streaming service? Their $99 package carries Altitude, evidently.
Also, a buddy threw this one at me. Anyone ever heard of Ecova TV?
Looking for Altitude alternatives, but don’t want to punt Xfinity internet.
Dude has credentials and hasn't offered to beat up a fan yet. He's clearly the best Avs beat reporter for the DP in decades.I guess this is the new Avs beat writer for the Denver Post: Bennett Durando.
False… when he challenges people to multiple MMA fights he will be.Dude has credentials and hasn't offered to beat up a fan yet. He's clearly the best Avs beat reporter for the DP in decades.
Out of town kid that was previously covering college football in Alabama? Check.I guess this is the new Avs beat writer for the Denver Post: Bennett Durando.
Covering college football in the south is more demanding than they Avs… by farOut of town kid that was previously covering college football in Alabama? Check.
He'll get to know the sport and the city.
Seriously I'm genuinely happy for the kid and I hope he does well.
It's just kind of a joke at this point that both the DP and the Athletic are getting kids from other states that are covering other sports to work on the Avs. Is there literally 0 competent journalist in the state of Colorado who loves hockey and would like to cover the NHL?Covering college football in the south is more demanding than they Avs… by far
It could be that they want an unbiased opinion for their coverage. That could be pretty hard to find from a local kid. It's just kind of a joke at this point that both the DP and the Athletic are getting kids from other states that are covering other sports to work on the Avs. Is there literally 0 competent journalist in the state of Colorado who loves hockey and would like to cover the NHL?

There's no such thing locally? The guy has journalistic experience, why does that not count for anything?

Someone in the state if Colorado that has some background covering pro hockey.I don't see why the assumption has to be that a guy has to grow up an Avs fan in order to be a competent beat writer covering them.
Reporting on sports? The guy has journalistic experience, why does that not count for anything?
You think the Post should go and get some goof from Fansided or something?
