None other then he's still not skating. Speculation is a shoulder injury. Given that he's still out 7 weeks later I'd say it's a possible dislocation.
We dont know what his injury is because the coach said a second injury occurred/was discovered while he was rehabbing that original injury. The fact that he isn't even skating yet would point to the second injury being lower body related.

The timeline doesn't really work though, he was at least a couple of weeks into his rehab for the first injury when they said they found/he sustained a second injury.

I doubt it's a concussion as the org is pretty good at actually saying if the player is in protocol or not.
Is there different disclosure requirements if it happens away from nhl gameplay vs during?

I dont think there is any disclosure requirements at all, the team chooses to announce when a player is out with a concussion. Some teams still report concussions as upper body injuries.

But the Jets are very good about announcing when a player has a concussion.

I doubt there are requirements at all. Another hint is Chevy said he was working out hard off the ice which would lead more credence to it being a lower body injury imo. But who really knows.

He was practicing with the team so my guess is he went into the offseason healthy.

Cole even mentioned he'd get a full offseason of training in so I think we are all good there.

He was non commital in his year end meeting. He says he will let his agent and Chevy worry about it. My guess is he is 100% focuses on the Jets for next year and will only play in the WJHC if the team wants him to go.

id like to see him go. would put confidence for some fans (& himself and the org) that he's fully recovered and ready for game-action. but do understand risk of injury/re-injury etc. especially since it is v likely he needs to be a legit top-6er & produce like one next year.

the last game he played was in feb. it'd be a 8month lay-off by the next time next season starts.

I'd be willing to bet he goes. I expect him to make the team out of camp, but he's not a lock and getting some confidence building high caliber hockey in will get him a leg up in camp.

Pretty much said it's Chevy's call as to whether he goes or not. It will be interesting to see what the orgs plan is with him this summer.
