Do folks see Perfetti as a C in the future or stay on the wing?
I see the ability for him to play C.
Perfetti gets pucks to players sticks not only constantly but creatively as well. I've also seen him steal a puck from an opponent more than once. The issue is having wingers with the hockey IQ to take advantage when Cole opens up space or puts a puck on their tape.

I think they keep him on the wing for the rest of this season at least, maybe next year also. But eventually we need him at centre by the end of Marks contract or sooner if possible

He is already showing signs of having the defensive awareness to play centre IMO. I think for a guy who is an offensive wizard his D skills are pretty advanced for his age. I agree though wing this season and maybe next unless injuries open the door to move him to centre in the top 6.

My thoughts exactly. He finishes this season at wing and spends most of next season there. He likely gets some spot duty at C next season as we saw happen with Copp early in his development.

Hopefully he gets back soon.

Thats an option, trade is another option. Depends on cap situation and where the team is at IMO

Agreed. What his demenour is like the rest of the year and next is also going to play a role in this. Franchise players can get traded, not all remain with their drafted teams. If he's moved we will have gotten 9 to 10 years of largely excellent play at a darn good rate.

Earlier thus week Lowry said he was still a ways away.

He was in full gear for the team picture a day ago so my guess it is a rib injury.
Ya either ribs or shoulder the way he wasn't moving his arm . Hope he's back soon for the playoff push, ya i haven't given up hope just yet.

Sounds like initial injury was a shoulder, likely AC sprain, and then something else came up during rehab.

This guy was my main reason to tune into the Jets games in the New Year. With Heinola tweening, Cole rehabbing, and the team playing out the string it’s giving me time for other hobbies.

Agree. He was so much fun to watch, as was Heinola as he began to hit his stride. Hopefully once we're out of a PO spot we can see the young guns playing with fire once again.

I'm on rotations for 12-14 of the next batch of games. I will certainly PVR them. Will I watch them? Time will tell.
