Brisson knows the new TV deal will raise the cap. They will turn down the 8 years offers.

4 years @ 7.5 just under Robertson. Renegociate for the UFA years later. Which is good for us as Price will be off the books. At 7.5 we can take Drouins and Alzner cap hits and give it to Cole.

I think he can hold out and play hardball to get 9-9.5 but I think with those numbers, they expect Pastrnak production.

8x8 or 8x8.5 is very digestable, esp. given that he'll be the first 50 goal scorer we've had in decades.

Why would you think Caufield would score 30 goals in the first place? Lol he almost scored that in half a season.

I thought he could miss a few games (not that many) due to injuries, but tbh, it was more that I expected him to fall into a slump at some point (didn't happen and I was more than happy to be wrong).

I said that Cole would score 40 this year, and refused to take a bet over it mostly for this reason. You need a full season of consistent scoring to score 40 usually.

The durability of this player will always remain a question mark. I doubt we open the vaults beyond the Suzuki standard and always have. Don't think for a minute HuGo ignores the state of our LTIR. It's not a good thing.
