Yep. He’s played really well for the most part. He and Suzuki have been better at creating sustained pressure lately too.

Not even ten gales in but it’s fun to track. I don’t think he’s ever paced below forty since MSL has been his coach.

Now pacing for 30 goals. Encourating sign tonight though was that he got a season high seven shots.

Continues to generate great chances and is good at stealing pucks. But he's got to generate more shots if he wants to get there. Good news is that he's still pacing at a point per game.

I’ve always felt the Caufield/Suzuki chemistry was overstated. They are two excellent players, the only two players of their age and skill level on the team, so, yeah, they tend to have some games where they look made for each other. The time has long since come to split them up. Let Caufield bounce off Monahan for a while and see if Suzuki can spice up his game a bit with literally any other pair of players.

He's down below 10% this year, far cry from the 16% he put up last year & the lowest of his career...

Hopefully it's just a glitch and he eventually regains his touch. Missing on a lot of clean shots that he was automatic with in the past.

Ups and downs of a season. First time I think he’s gone this long without a goal under MSL. The chances are there and as long as that’s the case, his goals will come.

And they get hot as f*** a month per year when even when they miss the net, it banks off D’s and skates to find the back of the net.

They are a rare breed. MaxPac would go dry and then have 12 in 10 games to even it out. Same for like… all of them

I’m surprised the underlying numbers are better to be honest. I’ve found that he and Suzuki have had problems maintaining pressure in the offensive zone. I find that a lot of CC’s chances come from individual efforts and you’re not going to score as often that way.

Also, the seven shots from him on Saturday really helped his totals.
