Brock Nelson already looks like he subsists on chickpea pasta and lukewarm water, so he'll be a great fit.
We don't know if Mitts will be here after tomorrow now, so there's that.

Nelson should be a good fit on the 2nd line. Wonder what the Jets offer was for the Avs to go so high.

Just FYI on Ritchie here... After 14G and 54A for 58 points in his first 31 games this year, he's had 0G and 9A for 9 points in his last 10 games.
Not at all suggesting this isn't still a huge haul for the Islanders and Ritchie is a damn good prospect... But especially post WJC debacle he had definitely slowed down quite a bit this year. Not sure what's been the issue but the fact the Avs were willing to move him is surprising and perhaps interesting.
Isles still did quite well obviously. But IMO Avs fans should also be really happy here. Certain posters in particular have cried that the Avs always lose out on the best available players and end up getting outbid... Well they didn't this time. They're clearly pushing all in this year and with a team in prime contention window that's all we should be asking for.

Calum Ritchie is one of the best prospects in hockey imo. Crazy overpay.
