Love it for the Avs. Definitely a precursor to something bigger though.

It was a cap dump. Wilson has never been that good, basically had one good season and a decent playoff or two. This last playoffs he did practically nothing.

He may be better with someone else, but his potential was better than his actual play was.

3.9m cap hit for 2 more years. Averages 32 points a season

Avs dont care, they are not concerned about the cap this season or the next. Anyone else on the UFA market to fill a similar role would have cost close to that much on longer term. 2 years from now is when the Avs next wave of youth comes due, so no concern.

I mean sure. A long time ago he was supposed to be better but by now we all know he's a 2nd-3rd line tweener. Still young and signed for a while. Unless Nashville is gearing for a big money move, this is poor business.

Good value but I'm very hesitant to trade draft picks in any round

If this was all we could get for him, I'm okay with it, I'm sure he was shopped around. He was going to be bought out anyway and we didn't have to retain, win-win.

Essentially Wilson for Bonino and a 4th. Preds have young guys that need to move up and fill Wilson's spot. As usual, Poile is a magician especially since they were talking about a buyout with Wilson.

Friedman had a bad error then 95 posts popped up here with guys wanting to be first for some dumb reason.

Basically a ton of admins and tv guys looking like fools.

Everyone wants to be the guy to break the story, and Friedman is no different. He jumped the gun and made a huge mistake on live TV. That's why he'll never have the level of respect that guys like Bob McKenzie has.

Avs have a desperate need for decent depth. Wilson is overpaid but the Avs have tons of cap space. Seems like a solid move for both teams.

Well if that's true it works out well for everyone. Avs desperately need someone like Wilson and if he plays well they could move him at the deadline.

Only 2 years left at $3.9M per. Certainly don't mind paying that with the Avs having so much cap space right now.
