Necas actually has some chance to be there when Mitts enters the zone, looks up to dish, and no one is there so he tries to wait, and gets jumped by two dudes.

I do think we're going to love Necas's speed. He's going to be places Mikko never was. Right behind Nate entering the zone, half way down the far wall after Mitts takes three strides into the zone.

Bednar may actually get him to back check too.

The saddest part is when they announced that they got a 3rd, I assumed it was only for Hall and I was like why trade him for a 3rd now? Just wait at the deadline you'll get more than a 3rd for Hall.

Then I learned that they retain 50% of Rantanen's money on top of Hall for that 3rd round pick. What the Hell?

sucks losing Rants but I rather see them trading a player than losing him for nothing. I always hated that mentality so Im glad to see they changed it.

Necas is not a scrub. is cheaper, younger, can play center, has speed and a good shot... along with two picks and a good bottom six center, something they needed since Bellemare departure. not bad at all.

the way I see it, we now have a czech winger and a Drury center. I like that, brings good memories. can we bring back from Europe Cal Foote and Brendan Lemieux also??
