One of the fastest skaters in the league.

Magician hands.

6’3”

Elite, ELITE talent.
My thoughts:

Necas is an offensive dynamo, a very good playmaker and has great vision. As you touched on, great skater and a lot of his offence comes from off-the-rush chances. Good PPer too, but foremost he loves skating with the puck and gets a lot of his points when he skates circles around everyone else. He does have some engagement issues at times and tries to do too much on the powerplay which prevents him from being perfect. He definitely doesn't have the shooting instinct as Rantanen nor the heaviness in his game, but makes up for it with speed, creativity, and high-calibre offence.

Jack Drury is a solid player, he is a very good two-way third-line player. Has some talent to his name, but also runs into some runts offensively at times. Gets into inconsistent bouts, which prevents him from being any higher on the depth chart. Nonetheless, he battles in the corners well and can create plays with time and space. He's looking to rebound from a very meh year so far, but the work ethic is there and is more talented than the likes of Miles Wood, Ivan Ivan, Parassinen, etc. Picture a bottom six version of Paul Stastny.

What's going to be interesting to me is seeing the fit with MacKinnon.

For seemingly the last decade - minus the random couple of weeks when Joonas Donskoi was covering for injuries - Nathan MacKinnon has played with left-handed linemates. Landeskog, Rantanen, Nichushkin, Lehkonen, Drouin, Colton, Calvert, Kadri, etc.

There is 100% going to be a feeling out period between he and Necas. He's not used to having a right-shot linemate.
That said, Cale Makar is right handed and he’s meshed pretty well with that guy.

Honestly, really sad to lose moose. Unless we another meaningful piece I'm not really convinced we have a better chance to win a cup. I hope I'm wrong and necas meshes with Nate. Still we need a shot on the PP

Right shot to right shot one-timer

He's had Cale Makar

Well you were right about Mikko getting traded as a rental!

Not for EP but still.
Well, I also said earlier there was no chance he was getting traded so…uh…yeah.

Boy this, if nothing else, just compounds what an utterly incompetent schlub Kyle Davidson is. What the f*** is Chicago even trying to accomplish here!?

MacFarland is an idiot.

Mikko Rantanen is not Mitch Marner, pay the man his damn money if that's what it costs to keep him, Mack, and Makar together. That sort of chemistry and puck domination is rare. Only reason we're a good team is those three guys and this idiot traded one of them cos he was worried about paying one a few M more (which he saved on the other one let's be honest).

I've seen Necas enough times to know he's a very smart skilled player and also that he's nowhere near the level of Rantanen. Plus Rantanen would've re-signed if we'd paid him, Necas probably tests the market.

WTAF am I witness to here? This cannot be real - it's some kind of nightmare, that I honestly hope I'll wake to and hasn't occurred. I'm both beyond and lost for wards. I'm really, really going to be negative here, and explode, so best I take a break. ^&%$^%#$ !

EDIT: Why have Necas AND Mitts?
Does cmac know Nuke is injured?

Don't underestimate a motivated Mikko Rantanen. It became pretty clear complacency got the best of him this season, somehow, in a contract year. Mikko was the best player in the league when MacK was out for that stretch a couple seasons ago. He has it in him when he tries hard enough.
We'll see! I don't mind the canes so I hope he does well.

Oh no. Sea Eagles is negative. Already lost the trade :(

Yeah, Mack will look over and see Necas actually enter the zone with him.

If Necas is good on the rush, and almost as fast, yeah there is definitely going to be an adjustment. Hopefully a good one.
