Davidson stays in Denver for 3 days to scout two games himself.

This couldn’t have just been to agree to retain half of Mikko. Doesn’t make any f***ing sense.

But again, Hawks having no retaining slot left makes a Jones trade impossible. No 3rd team will retain on Jones for 6 years.

I still don't get Chicago scouting us so hard, they got nothing in that Rants trade. Makes me doubt the Sid trade. Unless we're dropping two three-team trades in one day. Something to Chicago, then Mitts + Jones ++ to Pittsburgh for Sid.

Could have been some D help in a larger deal, could have been the 3rd going to the Avs with a player going to Chicago, could be ongoing/other talks, we probably will never know.

He’s no where near the goal scorer Mikko is. Mack loves passing the puck a lot more now days, I’m not sure how many of those passes Necas is gonna capitalize on. It’s a downgrade no matter how you look at it

Maybe slightly, but next year is going to be half or less than what Mikko makes.
