Tbh though this makes a ton of sense for Colorado and none at all for Buffalo. Why do they need another LHD? Unless they plan on putting Dahlin on the right full time (which I've heard whispers about if I recall correctly)?

In terms of one for one value, I think its pretty fair though. Byram is younger and has the better draft pedigree but also has more risk, while Mittelstadt is a more proven commodity but a little older.

They'll try Byram on the right. He's played there for the Avs, says he likes it. I personally don't think it's his stronger side but we'll see.

oh my god, what? I'm really surprised Colorado is giving up on Byram, but maybe I'm behind the times. Also, I know this must be tough for Buffalo fans, seeing Mittelstadt really blossom and then get moved.
