Improved goaltending but aside from that I think Nelson and Coyle are overpay and I would have kept Rantanen over Necas as their own rental to try and go it all this season. But it's just my opinion.

Coyle is much better suited for the absolute war the West will be this post-season, but yeah, not quite sure why it took two good assets on top of CM to get Coyle.

I'm not happy with the value as an Avs fan, but I'm happier to go into battle against Dallas and Vegas and Winnipeg with Coyle this post-season than Mittelstadt.

He will not do worse than mitts on a game-to-game basis that’s for sure. Jury is out on if the cost will be worth it however.

Zellers and a 2nd alone would be an overpayment for Coyle, who's only produced 22 points on a 5.25M cap hit.

Zellers has broken out massively in the USHL this year. 37 goals in 40 games. Would go late 1st/early 2nd in a re-draft, probably.

Avs just gutting their future for this playoff run. Better win the cup or they'll look very silly.

Charlie Coyle, a prime example of looks like Tarzan plays like Jane. Every 7-10 games he will surprise you with his existence/skill but he’s far from someone I’d be excited about adding.

I like the deal for both teams. If the Av's use Coyle in a 3C role, then he'll thrive. Boston gets some younger talent. Mittelstadt has shown flashes that he can put up points. The draft pick is just more capital and if Zellers turns into a decent NHLer then its a win.
