He has been bad offensively at even strength but he has been good otherwise I think. I don’t have much complaint about him and Kreider. They’re together for a reason. I’ve come to accept they won’t be an offensive force at even strength but they’re good otherwise. Worlds greatest third line.
I went with Fox ppp. Got lucky that it worked on the 1 pp chance we got even though we should have had at least 4.
Forwards were far worse than the Defense.
My favorite part of the game was Vesey interview after 1st period.
When she was going on about how well the Rangers had played that period, Vesey gave an Oscar-worthy performance by not asking her if she was insane.

I really liked that Mika talked about first place mattering to them and about wanting to remove Carolina from that perch after the game.

They showed a stat last game the Rangers were winless at home when down 2 goals. That’s now back to back wins at home going down 0-2.

I’m just about 62 and I’ve been watching NYR since you could only see road games on ch9 broadcast TV. I’m talking 1967. Hahaha. I certainly remember Jim Gordon, and I too love Sam. Jim had Bill Chadwick for a long while. It was entertaining. Hahaha.
The defense last night was absolutely atrocious, even Fox was out of sorts. Miller and Schneider looked OK but not sure what the stats tell you. Scanlin was a level 1 bard that somehow stumbled into Mordor. Roslovic was absolute butt and should be the next one to sit.
Offensively the Rangers figured it out, but goodness every Flyer goal was telegraphed in slow motion.
On one of the goals in the 3rd, Laf has the puck in the O zone and was peeling back to the blue line. Instead of passing to the point man, he went too far and drop passed it to Fox who was forced to get it and got himself pinched too deep. Immediately went the other way for an odd man rush goal against. Bonehead plays all night.
They still won. Hockey is cruel

The Rangers shootout record 2-3 isn't great but otherwise they are 10-0 in the 5 minute overtime period.
Congrats to Artemi with his 100th point. A pretty wild game though. Took us a while to wake up. The Flyers were regularly getting behind our D and you can't blame any of the goals really on Igor. The Rempe blocked shot reminds me of Ortmeyer. That guy was nuts.

Lafreniere continues to be a monster.
But man. As good as he is, imagine if we had traded him for Josh Anderson when we had the chance. That 6'3 powerhouse with a super reasonable $5+ mil contract and the 8 goals he brings to the table... we would have already clinched the president's trophy.

Vesey wasn't the ONLY one, although his was the most egregious. One stupid decision and as far as I can remember, the only one that resembled that.
Then don't bother following the team from October through March. Only April may and June for u!

Idk what the stats say on jones performance but he seemed to be the ranger that had the puck the most in the game. Got robbed of a what would have been a great goal by the flyers goalies glove. Whenever one is back I want jones still in the lineup.
