Don't care.

We were making the playoffs all along.

Show me your REAL shit in the spring when it matters.

Otherwise its just lip service & selling some seats, beer & popcorn.
Overall the way this team has performed this season over the big picture of the season... if they have another level they're saving for the playoffs, that would be really impressive. We can only hope.

Ok but the point stands! My dad is a boomer and he loves Sam.

I just asked him and he remembers Jim Gordon.
Sam is awesome for sure. I bet your dad remembers The Big Whistle Bill Chadwick as well. He was partners with Jim Gordon and even had his own once a week local cable access show. I called in right before one of my ganes. The guys in my locker room were laughing when I walked in. My question was is Barry Beck as good as Potvin. Bill who made the famous line "shoot the puck Barry", said no. I was disappointed lol 😭

5 votes(including mine) for Vincent Trocheck. Seriously ? For real ? You've got to be f***ing kidding me ? 17 faceoff wins.......no big deal. Led the forwards in blocked shots with 3 . 2nd in hits. Was on the ice for 4 of 6 goals we scored. Maybe you didn't like his shorty ?Or what about about the hit he absorbed in overtime and managed to keep possesion of the puck and then later sets up the goal. Oh and did I mention 17 faceoff wins.........not sure how one of them wasn't an assist on Laffy's goal may have touched an opponent but we never lossed possession really from the faceoff. Panarin , Panarin , Panarin blah blah blah. Vincenzo has been the difference this year .Our MVP !!!
Guy should be a runaway winner for the McDonald extra effort award this year.
Bread has been outstanding and is having a career year, but tro does all the little things you don’t see on the scoresheets sometimes. And he’s doing it at a PPG pace too.
He’s been a revelation.

I grew up with Brian Leetch. I don't remember Rod Gilbert.

There's people now that don't remember Brian Leetch. There's gonna be people before you know it who don't remember Chris Kreider.

The boomers had Sam Rosen. Gen X had Sam Rosen. The Millennials had Sam Rosen. Gen Z had Sam Rosen. The generation after that is gonna have Sam Rosen.

He has brought so much love and so much joy.

He's 76 years old. Don't take for granted what you have.
Well said.

Sam is more a Ranger than most who ever put the uniform on.

It's amazing how many generations he's impacted for this team. He really is a Rangers treasure.

Oh yeah, he tells me stories about the Big Whistle all the time!

And how we were always on tv Saturday nights way back in the day and he would order a pizza for like 10 cents or whatever.

My grandfather before him was an original Rangers fan. Born in 1918, started following it in 1926. We've been doing this a long time.

Fun game but a bad game. 3 injured D and Wennberg being out is tough and the team coming out like it was a public session on a Sunday afternoon didn't help.

Oh well, big win. The first team to 100 is pretty great especially considering some of the talk around this team coming into the season.

Yeah those Saturday night games were on WOR channel 9. Don't remember 10 cent pizzas though. Maybe $2 😂

This game objectively sucked. No one was actually good in it.

There were guys who had good moments (Lafs 2 goals after a pretty rough game overall, Kakko's strip of Johnson and backhand sauce to Brodz for the tying goal, Mika's dope ass SH assist and Fox's OT goal) but top to bottom, this was one of the worst collective efforts I've witnessed from this team all year. I did not enjoy watching this game at all and am dumber for actually sitting through it.

I hope they can wrap up the top seed in the division ASAP and then just start resting guys.

The F is garbo. Sorry, but it is. There's actually analytics on this.

The L laps the field. The L is so good that it requires fewer workers to operate, and the union blocked the technology used on the L from being used on any other line.

I've had multiple 20+ minute waits on the platform for the F in the last 2 weeks. I am in complete agreement on this.

Think I've taken the L twice in my life as the G is our route into Williamsburg and if I'm in Manhattan, I'm probably not headed to the burg afterwards. I felt about the L the way Kakko feels about NY.

So then they get no credit at all from you for anything they have accomplished so far this year. First place all year, top 5 team all year. Most points and wins in the league a/o today. There are many other teams either fighting for their playoff lives or not sniffing them. Why is it not ok to be happy about what they have done so far this season? Why is it never good enough for some?
No

They get nothing from me.

Nothing

They've won President's Trophies before 1991 - 1992 notably & were laughed out

Show me some playoff hockey

I don't care about "pre-season"

I've been blessed to have the L be my regular line.

I actually have the L line tattooed on my arm. It's one of multiple NYC tattoos that I have.

That's another thing people are gonna find out if they talk shit about.

I wonder how many Ranger families' fandom started in their first 15 years.

Trocheck is 3 assists away from 50.

Really nice season for him. One of the guys I'd look to rest down the stretch. He has played A LOT this year.

The F is still my train and I f***ing hate it.

It's good because it used to go to almost all of the places where I wanted to go but wasn't super slow like the R. As much as I like the fast Q (when it runs), I hang out in the LES so much and the F goes straight through the heart of it.

I love the "Honorable Mention" posts' like this is the pinewood derby.

"Yay... your'e car came in 4th! Here's you're trophy!"

Making the playoffs was the MINIMUM here

The next 3 months is what matters... nothing else

So it's a cup or the season has been a failure for ya. Good luck with that. I'll just enjoy the fact that this is a really good team with a real shot.

It's a Cup

Yes

I'm 50 & have seen this team be favs, underdogs, also rans, & for MANY years NOTHING

So yeah. I don't care about beating the Flyers in OT after giving up 5 goals

I care about the playoffs

Enjoy the 5 goals we gave up to that team lol
