Well, i think you're feeling like us with Therrien...... i think if Habs and Bruins start next season with a losing streak, they will possibly be unemployed very fast .... But at the end, all I want is to see both teams back in playoffs..

I recall when the season started there was a season preview on Sportsnet and the question was asked who would be the first coach casualty of the year. All on the panel said Claude.
Yet hes back again and I'm sure when the same question is asked in October the answer will prolly be Julien.

Literally the worst news possible. This front office is a **** show. They have no idea what they're doing and they flit from decision to decision with no firm plan. It's all reactionary.

I feel like firing Julien would have been the reactionary thing to do. You can argue not being deadline sellers was reactionary, but how on earth to you sell when you are in 2nd place in the conference? Even then, they hedged and the only thing they gave up of real value was a 2nd they will replace from EDM.

I feel a larger amount of the Habs fan base hates Therrien more. The people who dislike Claude here are just louder.

Not upset about it.

Not his fault. Need a D-Core Overhaul for next year. He didn't develop any of the young dmen at all. If anything a lot of those guys got worse under him.

I'm relieved with this news - in my opinion, CJ is not the problem.

Now, fix the blue line please.

I like the decision, I'm just very surprised by it. Two straight years of bowing out in horrific fashion to not make the playoffs? The optics of that are awful and the coach usually always takes the fall for something like that.

guessing this was Managment/Ownerships way of saying they understood they gave him a fast fry steak and tried to get him to turn it into Filet Mignon

Farewell all. Complete joke that Claude is back. See you all in a few years. Last post and out! "Lets go" whichever team has the most Americans on it because that's my team for the next few years till this clown's contract is completed! Cheap F'ing Jacobs

We are really going to miss you and your 18 posts. :sarcasm:

Don Sweeney just abiding by the rule that you don't cut off your nose to spite your face.

The Sens were salivating at the chance Claude might become available. As were probably many other teams. If you were to line up the pieces of this team that have the most value around the league, Claude would probably come right toward the top of the list.

I'm glad they are shaking up the staff a bit. Time to bring in some intensity on the assistant level.

One thing to keep in mind is that Clode is a coach who likes to give his assistants a great deal of autonomy over certain areas. Bringing in new assistants with new voices doesn't seem like a big deal on the surface, but it could provide a noticeable improvement in the team.

Except no one has said that. Just because many others think the changes that need to be/should be made are different than just getting rid of the coach does not mean they think everything should stay the same across the board.

Correct.

Firing one of the best coaches in the business doesn't magically solve the roster problems.

Better to keep a great coach and try to fix the players
