Giroux mentioned on the Wally and Methot show that one of the big reasons why he signed with the Sens was because he wanted to play on the same team as Brady Tkachuk. That he is excited to hang out with him but even more excited to play on the ice with him.

Giroux really sounds humble. Not worried about being low on PP depth chart. Not worried about formal (alternate) captaincy. Guy just looks like he's bought into the team as a whole already.
And it's not a super PR heavy interview, it's really more of a shoot hte shit talk with Methot and Wally here.

That was a great interview with Giroux, I am big fan of his after that interview. That guy is going to do a lot for this young team. Awesome guy!

Kind of a silly comment. Claude Giroux is one of the hardest working players and best leaders in the league.

When he was explaining his first career game, I didn't realise I had the opportunity to watch it live (obviously had no idea until now), I went back in my photo archives and found a snapshot of him on the bench wearing #56, kind of cool.
Anyone know if Sylvain St Laurent has had an interview with him yet? I’d love to hear an interview in French. There aren’t that many Franco ontarians in the league, it’s nice to have one in Ottawa (still disappointed Gudbranson didn’t work out).

Like others are saying he's the perfect type of veteran player a team needs to take the next step.
I hope we can reward him for the chance he took with this team by winning a Cup within the next 3 seasons.

Still can’t believe we have a “Player Discussion : Claude Giroux” thread.
We coveted him all season after the rumour popped off before the TDL, and we hoped and dreamed until he was traded to FLA. We continued to secretly hope as we figured he wanted to enter the cup chasing phase. We started to get a little more vocal again as the FA period closed in because FLA was in cap hell and the rumoured offer was a joke. Then we friggin’ signed him.
A guy that almost unanimously was heralded as a winger this team absolutely needed for vet star presence who could still lead and play in a top six capacity, a Gary Roberts hope and dream, but this time we got him…
… And he wasn’t even our biggest get.
The fact that we got DeBrincat and Giroux this off season, for picks, is absolutely unsens-like to the extreme. I’m loving this new chapter of sensland. All of a sudden it appears as though we can flex and have nice things, make other fans envious.
I can’t wait to see G in camp with the boys, it’s gonna be something else to see. I’m expecting the chemistry to be off the hook as the team is filled with extremely hardworking team players. Relentless doesn’t even cover how our team is going to play.

I have been a huge Flyers fan... Every player I've ever liked on the team is gone... I think I am going to start watching Sen games instead, as I'm tired of the train wreck that is the Flyers....
