I think Neil in the right situation can help this team, and Chiasson would be the guy to come out...unless they move Smith to center and Legwand sits

Really doubt Legwand sits.

Neil is old... And he probably always is somewhat beat up due to the nature of his game. If we need him I bet Neil will be quicker then he was in the season... And will hit anything that moves and drive the net. I would not put Neil in now but if we get injuries or someone is not playing well... Bet Neil is healthy and will play like his much younger self... At least in spot duty for a few games. He must be chomping at bit to play.

I like Hoffman a lot, but don't have a problem with Michalek on that line.

Ryan has been struggling and Zibanejad needs another big strong forward to help cycle the puck and get to the net, so I think Michalek is the best choice ATM.

Hoffman also adds a much needed dimension to the 4th line with his speed and ability with the puck, also seems to play well with Chaisson.

All I hope for is Cameron decides Smith can add more speed and physicality at center on that line.

Hoffman also kind of produces on his own. He uses his speed and shot to score. Part of why he doesn't work on the PP IMO. He can still do those things on the 4th line against lesser opponents.

He makes our 4th line an offensive threat.

Agreed... Except Hoffman takes a bit to adapt to circumstances... Anf he is a deadly sniper. Some point he will work on the PP and just snipe it. I think.

I could easily see Hoffman being put on that second line, especially if were behind in a game.

Cameron doesnt seem to trust Hoffman's defensive game too much. I think he starts Michalek on the second line to start with a tight checking game

All the streak we never had both Michalek and MacArthur. And both have been huge during the streak. Playing their best hockey of the year.

We get 4 days to rest a d practice and can ice the best 19 players all year in a game... To start the playoffs!

Habs beware!

I think he will be in the lineup for Game 2. Habs acted like they can play tough. Time for a reality check

We don't need him right now, putting him in means were scared of a team we lost to by 1 goal ! Maybe after another game but not right now

Not thinking rationally here, but I'm ready for Neil , Smith, Hoffman, and maybe they help teach Lazar what NHL playoff hockey's about... hopefully I change my mind by the morning, cause that line looks awful...

I think Neil helps. He's a playoff warrior and can help calm the bench down. Montreal always acts tough hoping for retaliation and then hide behind a ref. Neil changes that really quickly...plus with Cameron's comments they all know who is going to deliver justice.

Absolutely no reason at all why Neil isn't in there. He provides us with a ton of physicality and that's how we are going to beat the Habs again. Get Chiasson off the ice.

Keep in mind he was a playoff warrior 2 years ago. Hes been on the decline since.

Don't make any roster changes yet. It was a tight game, with a lot of Senators playing their first playoff game. They will play better Friday.

I don't know if I want to go to Neil if we're down 2 games to nothing... I'd rather have him help straighten things out in game 2... put their skill guys and D on notice , that they're gonna get hit.... game on

I agree. Smith was not very good since his return, I think Neil can be more impactful

I'd agree to an extent it was close. It was close on the scoreboard, but I felt like the Sens played with little confidence. They could use a big swinging **** out there. Just MHO

Screw it. Put Neil in. We need a hammer out there to knock some Habs around and set a tone next game. You knows he's jumping to go, he'll give us a huge boost of energy out there. He doesn't need to contribute anything offensively just go out there and make something happen physically. Put him at the front of net on the power play and see what he can do there. He might be able to get a goal or two as a bonus

Neil won't help at all. If he tries to make a big hit, someone will go down and feign an injury and the Sens will have to kill off a major penalty.

The Sens need to play the game they've been playing for the last few months and forget about how despicable the Habs are being. If they get bogged down in the Montreal Typical BS they're going to lose this series in a hurry.

I want both Neil and Smith in. Smith has to replace Legwand. Smith is not as effective playing left wing as he is at centre. This is not new. Cameron should know this and not try to force him there.

Neil should be in next game, Chiasson played alright but we need more forecheck.
