Literally no way he isn't named Captain by next season. Can't ask for a better leader.
i thought he would score 50 goals this year so i thought it was a bargainRaise your hand if you thought re-signing Kreider was a good idea.

Just a remarkable season from a guy who had never even hit 30 before!
The type of season I dreamed about him having following him as a prospect, seeing him play in prep school. Just a beautiful thing to watch.
Yea that's a weird one for sure. Draft comps are always so hit or miss.I find it weird that he was compared to Mogliny pre-draft. I don't think that panned out at all.
I can't wait for that because after that point, forever, I can refer to him as "Fifty Goal Scorer Chris Kreider," just like I do for Academy Award Winner Mo'Nique.I can’t believe Chris Kreider is going to be a 50 goal scorer lmfao
Yeah, sure you did. . Not for nothing, pretty sure I called him getting 50 when he had like 24 or 26, along with calling for his Captaincy when McD got traded. He has become quite the leader, just how he sincerely gives credit to those around him for his season. How about how he didnt ask for the moon so he could STAY a Ranger? Mgmt.did us fans justice by signing Mika and Chris as they are quite the bff's, and it shows on the ice.i thought he would score 50 goals this year so i thought it was a bargain
Hopefully, Kreider can score six more goals in the next nine games. Beat Jagr's record. That guy is a Penguin.

Thought it was a great idea. I was one of the more vocal ones on this Board sticking up for him the last 2 years especially against those wanting to trade him because of the length of the contract and needing money to pay others down the road. What many don't see is besides the talent he is in great shape and he is a leader in the locker room. Sorry the supposed ones you were concerned about paying down the road haven't shown anything Kreider brings to the table and he will stay productive based on his game and the fact he stays in great shape. He may not get 50 goals next year but you can't put a price on the intangibles he brings.Raise your hand if you thought re-signing Kreider was a good idea.

I am admittedly eating crow on this one. Thought it was a real bad move at the time to re-sign him. I thought he was too inconsistent and made too many bone headed plays. He has improved tremendously since then and now his contract looks like a bargain. I can admit when I was wrong.Raise your hand if you thought re-signing Kreider was a good idea.

That guy should've been signed again by Sather & Co. instead of bolting for the KHL. Whatever happened there is still shrouded in mystery.
I took a lot of grief in here for wanting to re-sign him when his contract was up. I didn't see him ever getting 50 but I know enough about hockey to understand that his style of play is what you want on your team if you want to win the Stanley Cup.Yeah, sure you did. . Btw, Mika has had a great season as well. Chris couldnt have done this w/o him.
