He seems to be a lot less tentative. He seems like he is more comfortable playing the game at his speed, which is fast. When he first came up I kept waiting to see the speed that everyone compared to Hags. Seems like he is starting to use it. I think he will have a good year next year. Expectations were too high for him this year. As long as he handled it well mentally, he can still be a 20 goal scorer.

Kid was flying out there tonight, had a lot of great hits and looked really good! Hope he can build off this, that would be huge for us if we want to go far.

and thats why I ****ing said to bring Kreider into the fold after game 5...He changes the dynamic in a series

He was a beast last night when he started hitting

This. When he gets himself into the game physically he plays well. He was the exact same way in college. It's no surprise, when he keeps his game simple, skates and hits, he is effective. There aren't many players who can keep up with him and there aren't many guys who can hit with the force he does due to his size and speed. Needs to continue playing like this.

Good progress from Chris last night. Hope he can keep it up. We're going to need him to help wear down a Boston defense that's already pretty banged up.

He was more physical last night, but I think he's had this kind of impact in many of his games.

No player makes a noticeable impact every single shift they're on the ice, not even Crosby. When Kreider only gets 5 shifts a game it becomes far more magnified.

I don't think he has been as useless as some are saying.

Kreider nailed Hendricks in the 3rd period. It was near the Caps bench. Wilson went after Kreider and he bounced off of him. There was another Caps player who tried to hit Kreider and he also bounced off of him. Kreider's speed pushes back the Caps D. Makes a drop pass. Asham skates right into the puck and rips it past Holtby.

Yeah for sure!

I was seriously really worried for him during like the last 8 games he played of the regular season. Maybe I missed something, but I can't remember that he made even one good play during those games. Sure, he didn't play much etc. But with a kid you want the downside to be bad plays next to good plays, not invisible play. That's a really bad sign normally.

But last night, Kreider had atleast 3 plays that I would characterize as "good" looking.

Yea, of course he's useless...if you don't put up points with 7 minutes per night? Hack..
