I like Lily, but I think this ship has sailed. How many years and he still makes bonehead decisions, and gets routinely caught. Top 4 against St Louey tonight may be a show me game. If he struggles again........they most likely will package him for a top 4 upgrade

Liljegren his biggest concern is his positionning and its something you can learn. He need to know how to react, where he need to go or where he need to be on the ice, who he need to protect. King of thong he can lewrn with experience

I never said he wouldn't fetch a 1st, I believe he will and I have thought for a while that Toronto would be the one to pay it.

I said he wasn't worth it.
Worth it is in the eye of the beholder. A playoff round win for the leafs and he is worth it ....

In his last 47 games he's scoring at a 47 point pace without powerplay time and leads Leafs dmen in xgf% at 5 on 5. He's closer to being top pairing than trade bait.

Now, according to Elliot, St Louis is the front runner for Ben and the Leafs are interested in Lyubushkin

I don’t believe that’s what Friedman said. When asked about Chiarot suitors, he mentioned St-Louis amongst other teams that have an interest but didn’t say they were the leading contenders.

The issue is how he plays in his own zone. When you are that much of a defensive liability, you don't belong in the NHL.

Hopefully this Lyubushkin trade takes them out of Chiarot, but I don't think it does because they didn't give anything unless you consider a 2025 2nd a quality asset
