Just putting lipstick on the pig - I’ve watched 90% of Chiarots games last 3 years and if my team was a playoff bubble team and my GM gave up more than a 2nd I’d be pissed but contending team GMs seem to have lost their marbles last few years especially when it comes to supply and demand.

I once sold a $20 bucket of KFC for $100 on a May 24 long weekend to a bunch of stoners with the munchies, TDL brings out about the same clientele
Ewwww. U mean rice/quinoa salad bowl? We young hipsters now follow a non-meat diet bruh

Personally I think the Leafs would be better to just promote Liljegren to the top 4 and have Dermott play with Sandin. I HATE both Chiarot and Holl as players.

Liljegren is good playing against a weaker opposition in a limited role but hes not even close to play a top 4 role. Keefe already tried it a couple of time and everytime he was to able to respond.

If you cant see it, sure you will not able to know whats holl or a chiarot can bring over liljegren. Liljegren can bring a lot but he need to upgrade his biggest weakness, his zone coverage are below average.

Get out of position against a 3 or 4th line, they not necessarily make you pay but do it against elite player and you will burn yourself.

I assume you mean't he was not able to respond ? He'll be playing on the 2nd pairing today vs St. Louis so it'll be an exciting game to watch for us. I don't think I've seen Lily play in the top 4 this year. He looks much better than earlier in the year and he's starting to engage physically as well.

We haven't really seen him go up against top lines consistently enough to see how good/bad he is so today will be a huge opportunity for him. He has good size, extremely mobile and great passing.

Oups was unable

He played 3 game in top 4 when holl was injured and keefe tried him sometime during some game. During those 3 game it was awful and its where campbell started to loose confidence because how bad leafs played defensivly in front of him.

Yep maybe tonight we will be able to have a better look but i will not be surprise if after 1 period muzzin came back with holl

Disagree with this, the Defence was fine Campbell was just horrible in the month of January and let in some awful goals. But yes lets see how he does tonight

Watch again game against nyr, stl and NYI

1st oreilly goal all alone, matthews mistake

2nd oreilly goal, liljegren missed the puck and get caught out of position + hit matthews stick. Liljegren fault

3nd toronto turnover on his own zone sandin put pressure on thomas but for no reason dermott following sandin and giving up 2 stl blues all alone in front of the net. Dermott fault

4nd liljegren loose his 1v1 battle, missed his stick play come back in front of the net and din't protecting pasd lane... all liljegren fault.

5th liljegren missed his defensive coverage+ nylander who missing his zone coverage with mikkola= mikkola all alone in front the net to take a clean shot. Both of liljegren and nylander fault...

3 of those 5 goal was a result of liljegren mistake.

Vs nyr

1st reaves all alone in front the net biega/matthews fault

2nd weak goal campbell fault.

3nd really bad turnover by liljegren who put his team in trouble. Sandin, kerfoot and tavares made mistake too but everything start with liljegren play. Result liljegre fault

4nd : just unlucky

5nd liljegren tried to push kreider and lost his balance, kreider all alome in front of the net.

Vs islander

Only nyi : liljegren missed his 1on 1 cover.

So of 12 game toronto allowed during the 3 games holl was on covid protocol and liljegren was playing a top4 role. 6 of 12 goal leafs allowed was liljegren fault... not campbell...

Just hope he will be better tonight

I like Lily, but I think this ship has sailed. How many years and he still makes bonehead decisions, and gets routinely caught. Top 4 against St Louey tonight may be a show me game. If he struggles again........they most likely will package him for a top 4 upgrade

Ben Chairot will go where ever he gets traded to no matter what.Nobody on the planet should BLAME the habs for trying to get the MAX of of the trade.
ANY poster that wont pay the asking price has his rights also, but please stop trying to blame habs and hab fans for asking so much, the anger should be aimed at ANY GM that pays MORE then what you think he is worth. SO if you hear the Leafs are interested then BLAST AWAY at your own GM. Fire him and all his staff, dont buy anymore tickets and boycott the his office, his house, follow him everywhere to yell bad shiiiit at him until he quits and moves out of Canada if THATS WHAT YOU WANT but for Gods sake never blame yourself for being a FANATIC.

You're pretty heavily revising history now that Kadri has had a sudden breakout year. He was a 50pt center before that and showed no indication that he was anything more, getting a top 4 D for that is fair.

Just for fun I went back to see how Hfboards felt about Kadri a bit before the trade. Looks like most people felt he was a 3C.
Getting an AHL bum for Kadri is a bad trade though.

and you have confirmation that the lesson was learned? No 1st...no Chiarot...simple!
Habs keep him he could help the young kids rest of year and maybe re-sign to help navigate rebuild

I can’t see a first coming back but Montreal still wins if stays

A rookie makes rookie mistakes half way into his first season. Clearly that means he can never improve. Trade him now.
