I don't think Tortorella is available. He has 2 more years with Columbus.

They've interviewed Yeo, Richardson, Green, Maclean, and Yawney. Not sure about anyone else.

How about Kevin Dineen ? He's currently an assistant with Chicago.

He was highly regarded when he was coaching for us down in Portland, left to coach the Florida Panthers, took them to their first playoffs in 12 years in 2012, but eventually got fired when the team missed the playoffs in 2012-13 and got off to slow start in 2013.

Another concern was how Carlyle left on bad terms in Anaheim with the players, specifically Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry. Carlyle and the players didn’t agree with how the game should be played when he last coached in Anaheim during the 2011-12 season. Most of the team has changed since then with only Getzlaf, Perry, Andrew Cogliano, and Cam Fowler as the remaining players from that season.

We are hoping what, exactly? That RC being hired pisses Getzlaf and Perry off enough to waive their NMC?
