Lol wut? Dude that is not true. Google NYFD firefighter requirements for one example.

Here u go:

And please spare me that a 112lb woman can lift my heavy arse out a building.
Lol wut? That's one counterexample proving the fact that the requirements are mostly the same. "FDNY Drops physical test requirement." So you're right, in NY it's no longer the same requirement. But it still is elsewhere!

Please spare me the strawman. A 112lb woman wouldn't pass the test. So of course she wouldn't lift your heavy arse out of a building. But the woman who passes the test would. She had to climb a f*** ton of stairs wearing a 50lb weight vest, among other things. This is why women are a very small % of firefighters and this is related to why Chloe is an extreme outlier. But she is an outlier.

FDNY changing their requirements so women join the firefighting force doesn't change my point most relevant to this thread: if Chloe can meet the requirement of a U18 league (for example by making the team), and she wants to play, then she should play.

It ain't just FDNY, mate. Anywhere where DEI is God, the standards have been lowered.

Here you go:

Over the last couple of years there have been many fire service news articles surrounding a department in the north east that has had several women go to the field without passing standards. One, in 2015 could not pass the Functional Skills Test. It was completed only once and at nearly five minutes over the allotted time limit. Another, failed the run to graduate the academy in 2013. She was conditionally graduated and given five more attempts to pass over the next six months. After failing the 6th attempt, she resigned but was rehired for an academy class in 2015. Yet another, in 2015, failed to complete the FST and failed the 1.5 mile run. Instead she was allowed to demonstrate aerobic capacity on a stair master. She had reports of struggling to complete assigned tasks in the field and was injured on the job during routine firehouse work. It’s not just them. It’s happening all over the country.

You're welcome 😁

My god, people are incapable of talking about female Hockey players without bringing up men's hockey.
It’s going to be commonplace with some people so out of touch with reality.
It’s the internet, people will call out other people for silly opinions that have no factual merit

My god, people are incapable of talking about female Hockey players without bringing up men's hockey.

Aren't you the one asking if she can go to the BCHL, and then getting upset that people correctly say it would go very badly?

Could she go the BCHL route before Minnesota? She's too good for U18 and has 2 years remaining. Seems like a longshot to stick in the WHL. BCHL is a friendlier league for smaller offensive players and her brother is already playing there. A few teams near Kelowna.
I'm tired with this "boys vs girls" team argument.

I know women's teams would lose to men's teams, yet she would be playing with all men but somehow that argument seems relevant every time the thought of her playing at that level comes up and it's just ridiculous every time. A girl playing in a boy's league has zero to do with girls vs boys teams whatsoever and I'm done hearing the comparison.

Seems you're incapable as well.

Of course people are going to be talking about mens hockey when people are asking if she should/could be playing against men...

In the US, there's no adjusting the Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT) for women. They have to pass the test same as anyone else. So yes, they would be able to haul your ass out of a fire. Highly likely, not highly unlikely.

Try not to be over-confident about things you don't know anything about.

Source: I know a woman firefighter and I watched her train and drank a beer with her to celebrate her passing her test.
I'll believe a woman firefighter can put my 6'4" 215lb ass over her should when I see it.

Yeah I asked that because her brother plays there, that's different.

"Why can't people discuss female players without bringing up Mens hockey"...Checks post history:

I don't think anyone is saying she'll be in the NHL. Maybe drafted. But the expectation is that maybe she'll play men's leagues in Europe.

I said it before, but until she plays U18, it's not clear just how good she can be at the next level.
I'm saying if she was to play in a men's league. I made this thread I know she's a woman lol.
It is possible she gets drafted. She is small, of course. Best she'll grow is about 5'8, 5'9 if she's lucky. She could course out a career in Europe if she's the real deal. Play in some men's league, even in Slovakia. It's just too soon to say for sure what her future is. It's a wild card.
Yeah, maybe she'll play in the Slovakian men's league and be alright, which is still good. Could even move to Finland or Sweden like Slafkovsky or Dvorsky and play 1st or 2nd league there, unless she wants to play the women's game. Could go the USHL/NAHL route if she's good enough even and play women's NCAA after.
Possibly in the import draft. It would depend on how good she is then. Doesn't mean she'd play there but there's been a few female draft picks in the CHL recently so it's not entirely out of the question. I was thinking USHL because they've had success with Slovaks recently. NAHL has some Euro talent also.

You are just as, I would say much more guilty, than anyone else in bringing up mens leagues for these players. You literally have half a dozen posts talking about pro mens leagues they could play in...

The irony of you speaking against people who can't talk about these players without brining up mens hockey, as you are championing 14/15 year olds as possible NHL picks is astounding

Both are ridiculously, ridiculously good players, who will be the top players in the Women's division for the next 2 decades

I've also said her future is more than surely at the women's level. I won't argue further because it will continue to detract from her game.

Lol he literally listed like 5-6 other men's leagues other than the BCHL

CHL
USHL
NAHL
Slovak league
Finnish 1st/2nd division
Swedish 1st/2nd division

And mentions she might be drafted by an NHL team lol. The only chance she has of being drafted into the NHL is for PR purposes with a team's last draft pick.

how would she compare to Lopusanova?
Who has the higher upside?
It's tough to compare because they play different positions, but I feel like Lopusanova has the higher upside. She was the best player at last year's U18 as a 14 year old, and wrecked U16 Slovakian men's league at 14 and again at 15. Primerano is incredible but also seems much more physically mature (which makes sense because she's a year older).

Generational.

Few players in recent memory, including recent PWHL first overall pick Taylor Heise, project to be as impactful as Primerano. Comparing the two doesn't seem logical as Heise is a forward and Primerano a defender, but the statistics are closer than any other player. Heise, however, appeared in three IIHF World Championships recording 12 total points in 15 games. There's a chance Primerano will eclipse that mark from the blueline in her first year with nine points already.

From the blueline.

Suck it, defenders of defensive defensemen. People. Persons. D.

I was in high school during the last lockout. A bunch of NHLers from Winnipeg would rent ice where my high school team practiced. We got to skate with them a couple times. Possibly the worst player from the NHL group was Ryan Reaves, and he was astronomically better than anyone from my HS group. It wasn't even close.

Now considering the best women's teams lose to boys teams not unlike my HS team, and my team was miles below a 3rd tier Finnish team (let alone NHLers like Reaves)... yea, women playing men's hockey makes 0 sense.

I played football as a kid. I was better than average, but certainly not a super star. I couldn’t run the best, I wasn’t great at catching, but I could hit like a truck and tackle anyone.

I played on a rep team when I was 12 or 13 and there was a girl on the team. She wasn’t the worst player on the team. I really liked her. She fit in and was what I would call a friend. I really liked her.

I used to try not to line up with her on hitting drills. And the coach noticed me dodging her. He purposely put us up against each other, he waited for her to get to the front of the line and pulled me out to face off against her.

I ran the drill, I ‘hit’ her. Hard enough to win the drill, but certainly not as hard as I would have hit anyone else on the team.

My coach lost his marbles, grabbed me by the facemask and slammed me to the ground “DONT YOU EVER LET ME SEE YOU GO HALF SPEED AGAIN. GO AGAIN!”

So I was embarrassed and I went full speed. I hit this poor girl so hard, way too hard. I hurt her. She was tough and didn’t stay on the ground, and she finished the practice.

But that was the last time I ever saw her. She quit the team.

I know there were a lot of things that went wrong that day, and I’ve always felt terrible. But the point of the story is that no man really wants to compete 100% against a woman. And there are reasons for that.
