OBVIOUSLY, the BPA is neither yours or mine. It's the consensus. On a FAN standpoint, who only has access to the 1000 lists made by scouting services, or media people that knows prospects, BPA is you take every list that you deem think is serious....and make a consensus rankings. I konw I do that too to help me for my own simulated hockey team. Guys I pick are obviously guys I love and I have seen in some capacity. And when in doubt, I go with the consensus pick. I rarely do that, usually the consensus pick is mostly to comfort me in my love for a guy.

It is not a 100% exercice. Nothing is. Still....I think it's the best we've got as a fan standpoing.
Right. Best example is Romanov who was not on many lists at all

Calling it now: Edmonton vs Hamilton in Memorial Cup Final.

Edmonton out shooting Winnipeg 24-12 late in 2nd. Maybe 2022 Draft actually sucks, because Benson looks better than both Geekie and Savoie.
I posted a while ago that Edmonton was gonna win. They have the best goalie left in the CHL playoffs, the best D and good talent at F. But the edge for me when facing other teams is cossa

Yup, Hamilton wins 5-2.
Edmonton has a 4-1 lead heading into 3rd, and will win vs Winnipeg.
Quebec now has a 4-1 lead in 3rd, and will eliminate Rimouski.

That's definitely been the case for most of the playoffs.

For me, more a signal of how strong the '23 draft is. Which seems to be a controversial opinion on here this year.

(Which is when the bookmark function comes in handy.)

Benson looking this good is great for us because if we take Wright, then Benson and Yager become potential targets as compliments to Wright

Or just skip the forwards, draft a D (Nemec or Jiricek), suck again, and pick a forward in 2023.

And what if we don't, and end up without a top line center?
I know, risky. I'm just so bothered by our blue line. I feel we have a strong base, 3 to 6 are in the bag, Guhle might slot in at two but no one at 1. If we can get that piece and let it develop without having to rush him, I'd feel very confident that we can become a top team in 4 years when our prospects all blossom together.

This draft is really deep on intriguing defenseman and I'd say that the defense base is a lot stronger (Guhle, Barron, Romanov and Harris) with some wildcards in Struble, Norlinder, Mailloux than our forward base which is just Suzuki, Caufield right now.

Agree, got to go with the Center….Wright or Cooley, as much as i like Slaf and Jiri, you have the top pick in this draft, its gotta be to shore up that 2nd C position.

Those grade A C’s will (or at least should) also make your wingers better, so it’s win win win.

Now watch Hughes draft Slaf

I'd bet a huge amount that Slaf isn't the pick. You can't start a franchise with a winger. Unless you are Patrick Kane which Slaf isn't obviously and no slight to him. We can sleep well knowing that.

Crazy that Winnipeg made a game of it. Thought they were done for sure. Edmonton dominated the first 2 periods. Had to skip the 3rd. Had an early start for work today.

1-1 after 2 periods between Edmonton and Winnipeg. Milne scored again for Winnipeg. That's 11 goals for him these playoffs.
