If Quebec wins their series against Rimouski, then the 3rd round series will be Quebec vs. Shawinigan and Charlottetown vs. Sherbrooke.

So it's looking like it will be:
Québec vs Shawinigan
Charlottetown (Trudeau, Simoneau) vs Sherbrooke (Roy)

Québec will lead 2-1 after tonight.

Quebec will have a chance to win the series tomorrow night @ 7:30PM ET.

If Rimouski manages to win tomorrow and forces a Game 5, they will play on Sunday at 4PM ET.

I really like Gaucher. He's a little heavy on his feet but it's something fixable. Like how he handles himself.
I think people are too quick to write off prospects due to lack of 'dynamism' these days. People see a big physical two-way C and immediately write him off as a bottom 6 center because he doesn't dangle or skate laps around the offensive zone. I think you're staring a big, smart, physical, two way centerman in the face with Gaucher personally. Guys like him will help you win cups.

Has been my choice for Calgary's 1st round pick for months now. Perfect scenario would be to draft him 33rd overall.

The fact is that with Suzuki-Wright down the middle, what is he gonna do - shut down the other teams 3rd line?

That's fair, but if he were viewed to be the BPA at a certain point when it's our pick, does it really matter? Having three really good centers is certainly not a bad problem to have. Worst case scenario you move one to the wing or you trade one for help elsewhere. I'd rather have too many good centers than deal with another 20 years of not enough.

If he's there with Edmonton's pick.. which he won't be. Before that, there's too many dynamic wingers, centers with higher offensive upside or skilled defenseman to take Gaucher.

Yeah don't get me wrong, if there's a winger or RD that are deemed to have a higher upside than Gaucher available, like a Kulich, Miro, whoever, then hell yeah I'm all for that. I'm just saying I personally don't see the same 'low upside' label a lot of people have for Gaucher, and if it comes to the point where he's available and you project him to be the best player there, having Wright and Suzuki wouldn't stop me from making that pick.

I would prefer Ostlund to Gaucher because he could play an exploitation center role with offensive ability.

If he can keep up with Matthews, I'll take him on the third line and free Suzuki and Wright.

And then you miss an opportunity to have Wright and Suzuki play against Matthew's, shut him down and score, vs putting one of them against the Kampf line. Where you could have an Ostlund centered offensive line they have to worry about, and are getting outscored and shut down by our top 6 and can't free their shutdown line

Vrbetic is in net. Hamilton scores 90 seconds in. Humphrey is left all alone on backside, so no chance for Vrbetic. Mysak is playing too.

1-0 Hamilton.

Glad to see Mysak back, he was unlucky lately with injuries following bad hits.

2-1 Hamilton. Winterton PPG.

It took 8 seconds to score. Win draw, cross seam pass to McTavish, Vrbetic comes across to make desperation save, rebound put into net.

That ends 1st period.

There are two problems with the BPA:

- First, he has to still be available;
- Second, your's or mine's.

You think Suzuki can match Matthews's size and speed? Wow talk about leap of faith!
