That’s why you don’t draft Slaf, you get Schaeffer with a later pick for a 1/4 of the risk with 3/4 of the reward

Man I don’t know about that.. Mike Ricci was an animal, literally. Rod BrindAmour looks like a train hit him in the face too.

Yeah, I like Gustafson a lot.

I might be dating myself here, but he reminds me of a Brent Gilchrist type of player, although at center. Gilchrist didn't spend too much time in Montreal as we ended up packaging him with Corson in a trade for Damphousse.

But, he was a very solid two-way player with grit in his game.

Looks like there will be a good amount of options with the Calgary pick and the 2nd round picks. Gaucher is one of them.

Sherbrooke was up 3-1, but Blainville has managed to tie it 3-3 in the 3rd period.

Edit: And Roy scores his 5th of the series to put Sherbrooke up 4-3.

This guy is underrated in that regard.

Seems like the flood gates have opened in he 3rd period.

Blainville had scored 2 goals to ties it 3-3. Then Sherbrooke scored 3 to take a 6-3 lead. And then Blainville scored another one to make it 6-4.

6 goals in the 3rd period.

Shawinigan also completes the sweep of Gatineau.

So Charlottetown and Shawinigan are off to the 3rd round. And it looks like Sherbrooke will also complete the sweep. They're up 7-4 with a few minutes left in the game.

Gatineau is eliminated. Just saw the latter half of 3rd period. Shawinigan won 1-0.

Boy, was that a boring game. Cats had one forechecker and four men back. It was just Gatineau trying to break through. I think they got within 20 feet of the net twice. Never even close to scoring.

That's it for draft eligibles Luneau, Warren, Verreault & Savoie.
