Definitively better with Mintyukov and Kasper since I think Kasper might end up as a pretty strong top 6 player as well, kid is so underrated. I dont think CLB do that anyway...
The only way I would do that trade with Columbus is if they swap their 2023 1st with the Florida 2023 1st

Crazy game between Kitchener-Windsor. Kitchener scores 1st then Windsor scores 3 straight to go up 3-1. Kitchener ties it at 3. Then Windsor scores 2 more to make it 5-3. Then they trade goals til final score is 6-5 Windsor.

Sobolov was more involved in this one. He even got into a late game glove-fest. He's not that good though, but he tries hard & has some physicality to his game. He's got the weirdest lateral footwork I've even seen. He looks like he's skipping sideways.

He needs to be more aggressive on players on the rush. He backs off way too much & doesn't use his stick defensively well at all, which is a coachable thing. He's strong on the boards though and boxes out well. No wonder we drafted him.

He was a bit of a weird pick TBH, even in a best case scenario his upside is pretty limited . I'm never crazy about picking a guy with a ceiling that low, it always feels like a waste.

From THW: "There are many point-producing defensemen in this draft, who will likely be selected early. Or will they? The NHL is a fast-moving, creative game. The players are bigger and faster than in the past. So, why would a team pick a player who is the opposite of that? Defense wins championships and that’s why teams should strongly consider Daniil Sobolev.

Sobolev is among the “other” blueliners in this draft. The players who sacrifice their bodies to make plays, who play physically to protect their goalie, and most of all, push the play forward with their puck-moving skills to their forwards rushing up the ice. This is what you will get with Sobolev. He is not flashy but does get the job done.

He is projected as a 2nd or 3rd round pick. However, he could move up in the draft via trade by a team that has multiple early picks. He projects to be a second-pairing defenseman in the NHL. He will not dominate a game regardless of where he goes, but he will be a rock in the defensive zone, clearing the crease and putting his physicality to work on the opposition. He plays the game like a less offensive Scott Stevens or Darius Kasparaitis."

Hamilton takes a 2-0 series lead with a 4-2 win on Mississauga.
- Mysak with 0 pts / 3 SOG / 60% FOW
* Xhekaj was suspended *

North Bay is in OT right now against Kingston. They were down 3-1, then tied it 3-3, then were down 4-3 before tying it to force OT.
- Vrbetic was pulled after only 8 minutes as he let in 3 goals in 10 shots.

Edit: North Bay suffers their first loss of this post-season. Kingston wins it in OT to tie the series at 1-1.
- Vrbetic was not credited with the loss, so it won't show up in his record for the playoffs. But after 8 minutes, he made 7 saves on 10 SOG for a .700 SV%.
