If you say so.If he's in your top 4 you aren't a contender

Nasty, but I like it...I mean... he had a very good playoffs... that was sort of my point. I get it though, tough to evaluate players in the playoffs as a Leafs fan. Don't really know what good ones look like.
He’s played top 4 minutes on one team that went to an WCF and top pair on another that went to a cup final. If he's in your top 4 you aren't a contender

And Erik Gustafsson was + 3 during the playoffs. And he was a -16 on that Stanley Cup Finals team.
Trading a 1st for a bottom pairing D seems like a great way to lose your job
That's all I needed to know to measure your hockey knowledge.Trading a 1st for a bottom pairing D
If you want to pump up by saying a guy played 20+ minutes on a Cups Final team, then you have to acknowledge that he was outscored badly for the majority of the year on that Cup Final team. And Erik Gustafsson was + 3 during the playoffs.
That +/- stat is so useful...
Highway robbery if they do, the dude is awful.
I usually like your post, but to use +/- to measure the usefulness of a player? If you want to pump up by saying a guy played 20+ minutes on a Cups Final team, then you have to acknowledge that he was outscored badly for the majority of the year on that Cup Final team.
Comparing 16 games to 41 games is so useful.

The Habs won 24 of 56 games last season. In any other season they wouldn't have even sniffed the playoffs. Go ahead and pretend they were a good team thoughWhat if he's the most used skater on one of two teams that went to the finals just a few months ago?
Still not a top4 D lol?
Marek, Friedman, Lebrun all anticipating at least a 1st round pick but sure it would be highway robbery
Easy to say this now. March 21st is going to come and go and Chiarot for a 1st will not happen.

He's playing without all 3 this season and has been our best defenseman alongside Romanov. The counter point to that line of reasoning is that's a lot of mileage and wear and tear and Chiarot also doesn't come with Price, Weber, Danault.
