I don't think you know what a mediocre team is.

Anyway, fair trade

I know exactly what a mediocre team is. The Hawks are. They're basically a treadmill team at this point. And they're throwing their future away every year by adding on and thinking they can compete against these top heavy teams. How'd that Ladd trade go for them last year?

Hope he turns his career around with the Hawks. Jurco is always somebody I thought really high of. He was just never allowed to play his game in Detroit. Good luck Jurco

Is "Honey Bear" the same guy that used to have the handle "It's My Fault" - that guy was the same way and i think he was based in Houston.

Yes.

Also here's a little HFBoards secret that people may not know.... if you hover your cursor over a poster's username, you can see their previous username.

Hawks sent Hinostroza down to Rockford AHL to make room for Jurco on the roster

Love Vinnie's speed and skill and he plays bigger than his size, but his mind doesn't think as fast as his body moves at this point. He'll be back though. Definitely an NHL caliber player, just not necessarily for a contender at this point though.

3rd round pick holy, this is like a 5th round then play him in the AHL. Try and develop but that doesn't make sense too Chicago. That's something a team in the bottom of the standing should do.

Kinda scary. I could see him rebound and I would hate to have given Chicago a good young player.

Hawks have always been considered a "mediocre team" to you. I got news for you, they're far from mediocore.

Even worse? Although a lot of teams have underachieved this year. They have some hope for the future. The Hawks have overachieved and have none, especially when they keep trading away picks.

So it's not the team on the ice that is bad but management, or the management's strategy?

It amazing! Both teams got fleeced! Jurco was worth a 1st and the Hawks gave up a top draft pick

It's both. The team on the ice isn't as good as it appears in the standings. And the management for the most part hasn't been that great. There are a few moves I give them credit for making, but as a whole? They've been pretty bad. Slurping off of previous GM's talent.
