That’s a nice return for Jones who they were clearly going to lose in a year

any protection on next years 1st?
If not, they're a Kane injury away from having this blow up in a bad way.

Chicago are a treadmill team at best with or without Seth Jones.

Love this for the Jackets. Perfect rebuild move. I’ve never been a Jones fan, so this may be biased, but woof, that contract. No thanks.

So if we think that the last pick of 1st round and Chicago's 2nd are not that much different value wise, it's basically Boqvist and two 1sts (one guaranteed to be pretty high at 11th) for Jones. That's a nice haul.

Jackets got some nice value

Boqvist himself is going to be a very good D man let alone the extra 2 1sts and the pick upgrade to another 1st

Jarmo has done an incredible job with Jones, Foligno, and Savard's returns

Maybe fans' views are a bit warped if every trade made is bad in our eyes...
This trade is making no CBJ fan sad.
The Risto one made every BUF fan happy.
I guess the GMs may not value the picks as high as hf board members
