I haven’t been able to find a source file containing all of the combine results, but did find this excerpt from an article:

Stramel also excelled in Buffalo this week. The University of Wisconsin product had some disagreement amongst scouts where he might go in the draft with a range from the 1st-3rd round.

Stramel lead everyone with a 118 on the horizontal jump. He also completed 11 pull-ups, was second in bench press power, was within the top-12 in all three force plate tests and within the top-15 in agility left.

He is at the World Junior Summer Showcase, didn't catch it myself but he got praise for his performance so far:

"#28 Charlie Stramel, C (Minnesota Wild): There are some games where you wonder, “is Stramel good because he’s big? Or is there something else there?” Today, Stramel showed a ton of skill, a strong work ethic, and physicality. Keep an eye on him over the next few days – this could be one of his better stretches of games."

Meh, it’s not a men’s league so does it truly matter? :sarcasm:

Per Chris Peters (World Junior Summer Showcase: Cutter Gauthier, Gabe Perreault Star On Day 3 - FloHockey)

Charlie Stramel, C (Minnesota Wild): Stramel had an up-and-down game, but there were some major flashes of his power game. I thought his puck management could have been better, but he did end up with two assists and helped create some turnovers and separation with his physicality. When his motor is running, he’s a hard guy to stop.

Seems par for the course with him. Flashes of dominance but inconsistent. So probably requires several years of development to mold and iron out his game.

22-25 year old college teams are pretty tough to beat.
I don't think having the older teams is going to follow Hastings from Minnesota State to Wisconsin. He will be able to get a lot more of the recruits he is after at Wisconsin. With that said, if having an older team mixed with some younger stud players is what brings Wisconsin back to a top 5 program, I am all for it.

Gophers have the football championship but wont see anyone saying they are Alabama.
That’s such a weird comparison because

1) Minnesota is not the “Alabama” of college hockey. If anyone is the “Alabama” of college hockey, it’s Denver.
2) those gopher football titles were over 60 years ago
3) Wisconsin has a more recent title win than Minnesota

Gophs have a lock on national championship runner up titles, I think it's at 8 now, not sure anyone is close to us.

Don’t ever speak those three letters around these parts again!

I'll do better next time, I just thought the conversation could use a fresh take cause it's been Gophers vs Badgers for like three weeks
