Beckerman basically started by saying loyalty was why they were fired. No surprise there.

Luc mentions the core: Kopi, Jeff, Drew and Quick ...for those I've read on here who wanted to trade Carter.

Also no determination on Stevens or Payne yet.

Blake on Futa:

I'm going to lean tremendously on him. (If he doesn't quit, or get a better offer.)

Well, bad idea to not consider moving Carter. These guys act as if they are going to be back competing for a cup next year, and it's not happening.

They going to wait until Carter has no value on the trade market?

I am impressed by Blake giving Dean a lot of credit and respect.

At the same time I'm not impressed by his lack of vision. DL always had vision, always had a way of putting it into words, even if it was viewed as "wrong"

What was Rob supposed to say? Company line, 17.

I'm sure Rosen will have the one-on-one interviews with the "captains" on his twitter at some point this evening.

I'm gonna get a chile Colorado burrito. Have fun, all

I think that is a realistic expectation. We do have a great core. We just need two wingers for Kopitar, which Blake can acquire. If you play around with the numbers on capfriendly.com, you will see that despite the contracts of Brown and Gaborik, we have other moves that will open up space.

Geez, Luc can't even speak off the cuff about Lombardi and Sutter. He has to read prepared remarks.

The first question goes to Jim Hill, and he brings up Magic Johnson and the Lakers.

Never change Jim.

Was not impressed with this interview, only good to come of it (IMO) was the stated importance of continued Cups, which we should hold the two accountable for in the future. They're setting the bar that high, as they damn well should... and the prospect of re-upping Futa was awesome.

Hated how short it was, given the scale of what transpired. Hockey media in LA....

The only good thing was Blake putting the spotlight on the players. They're the ones on the ice. They're the ones that have to produce.

Yeah that was refreshing to hear. I cannot take another rebuild at this point. Also, it would be way to risky. We would be basically trading away Kopitar, Carter, and possibly Doughty, for a chance to draft a number 1 and 2 center, and arguably the best defenseman in the world again.

Jonathan Quick age 31

Anze Kopitar age 30

Jeff Carter age 32

Drew Doughty age 27

Yup, that's the core you want to build on. Well, one out of four isn't bad for beginners.

Did you all know the core is in their prime?
