Ek skated with the team this morning, means there's a chance he plays :thumbu:
While I realize we desperately need him in the lineup, I sure hope they aren't rushing him back too quickly.

In any case, were getting the 1st win tonight. Wild in 6.

C'mon all you pessimists, plenty of time to lament the team and MN sports if we do, in fact, get trounced. Until then, think positively and change your paradigm! Dallas is beatable .... didn't we split the regular season games?

Anyone got any fun food plans for the game? Ordering pizza or making homemade buffalo wings?
No.
Same old menu at Casa 57. Grilled Wild Sockeye Salmon ( lemon, S&P, olive oil), Arugula and Baby Spinach salad with homemade Tarragon dressing, and a pasta with some sort of pesto.
Since I have discovered that Lou Malnati's delivers long distance, I no longer order out for pizza.

An order of Chicken wings form Baker's Rib would go down pretty nicely, but I'll save that for potentially epic games.... tonight is just foreplay, as far as i'm concerned.

Do nothing Deano at it again, starting the backup over the veteran that was hot down the stretch. And putting a two game rookie in on defense? Why play these guys all year only to scratch them in the playoffs when they haven’t been performing? Kaprizov and Boldy have 0 goals in this series and he refuses to break up their lines. Just a complete mess and if the boys don’t show up to play and win tonight it is entirely on these absurd (and wrong) decisions by this coaching staff.

It has been far too long since I have had Bakers Ribs, best potato salad around, and it’s a travesty you would go for the wings over the ribs.

Oh man... grilled salmon sounds perfect right now. Might need to run to the grocer

I usually go for the pork and sausage. As great as the ribs are, mine are almost as good, so i order the things i don't do as well. The wings are crazy good though, as is the brisket.
Only thing i'm not crazy about is the Beercan chicken, which seems a bit dry to me.

Agree on the potato salad. Best I've ever had, but the beans are just as good, and the corn and dirty rice isn't far behind. This place is a gem. I've eaten in some of the best places in KC, which is known for it's for BBQ, and this little place in EP is as good or better than all of them.

Now that I think of it, they have grilled salmon, but only for lunch on Fridays, and it’s popular. I have gotten there before noon only to find that it is sold out already. Extremely good…. Which is normal, for them.

If y’all want some delicious wings; D-Spot.

They have a new “seasonal” wing.

Agreed completely, been one of my favorite hole in the walls since I was a child, the owner is awesome and all the sides are incredible, you have my mouth watering.

If you can make ribs like he can, I’m pretty damn jealous.

There used to be a Play it again sports next door, I got my starter hockey gear from there and it makes me very happy to see that Bakers has stuck around while everything else in that little strip section has changed over and over the past 30 years.

Sounds like a good setup at casa 57. Keep me updated on if you break out an order from Baker’s ribs when due or die game 4 rolls around

We need to win this first series, otherwise it's going to be difficult to win a Stanley Cup.
This series is our Stanley cup

No surprise at all that Gus gets the start. Looks like Ek & Sunny is sitting this game out, along with Goligoski and Addison.
Good to not rush Ek in, the last thing we want is for him to have his season ending in game 1

What I find hilarious is that there is usually a lineup turning into the parking lot….for Popeyes! If they only knew what was just around the corner.

I am not a one dimensional eater. More to my game than merely Baker’s. Dan Dan noodles, Bahn Mi’s from Quang, and Punch and Lou Malnati’s pizza, all in play, as well as a coffee malt from Snuffy’s if the weather ever warms up.

I do it all for the team, because that’s the sort of guy I am.
