Been wanting this for years. Easiest thing ever. It still pisses me off we never got to see Bergeron in this get up.
It’s not happening at this point.

Not sure why they’re so resistant to going back to one of their signature looks, either the 70s or 80s.

They’ve changed their uniforms more than any other team. I guess they’re just sort of embracing it at this point.

It’s too bad because, like Montreal, Chicago, the Rangers and Red Wings, their uniforms should be timeless.

Toronto has tweaked quite a bit over the years as well, but less than Boston.

While we are airing grievances:

In addition to the 80s-95 Bruins uniforms, the 96 royal blue Patriots uniforms and 75 Red Sox red caps need to become alternate looks.

Perfect world for me is Patriots go back to Pat Patriot home/away full time and royal blue Elvis as the alts.

This is clever. The shape of each sign is based on

I liked their jerseys when they swapped back to the old, detailed leaf.

Edit: idk why/how Fenway quote got in there, I blame my fat fingers.

I really, really dislike the extra bands on the arms. Has the team ever looked like that? Just seems like a bizarre decision, along with the white numbers/letters on the home. Its like they screwed up what should have been an easy layup.

He manages to find a way to insert himself.

For those wondering about Jean Ratelle

Fantastic player and had he been a Montreal Canadiens player I believe he’s up there with Beliveau

In November 1975 he was traded to Bruins where he took over Esposito spot and Esposito went to Rangers and slotted in with HOF Rod Gilbert

1975-76
Jean Ratelle with Bruins

67 GMS 31 G 59 A 90 points +17

Esposito with Rangers

62 GMS 29 G 38 A 67 points -39

Ratelle in 12 playoff games 1975-76: 8 G 8 A 16 points

Ratelle regular season with Bruins
Games 419
Goals 155
Assists 295
Points 450

Classiest smoothest combination for a player maybe in history

419 probably not enough but this guy number belongs in rafters

Bergy & Kreci got the 1000 games I get it but Ratelle is in the HOF for HOFers

Ratelle was also an excellent forechecker. Amazingly almost never taking a penalty while in the offensive zone.

Loved watching Ratelle, great great player

Love em!

Perfect blend of clean and sparkle for the centennial. I get why people want their favorite vintage/style but think these will grow on folks.
I think once they’re on the ice - especially if the Bruins win some games - these might grow on people. If these were just a reboot of the c. 1975-1995 meth bear jerseys, who would want it? I already have one.

I’m on the fence about getting one. It would be a tossup between all-time Bruins greats Eddie Shore #2 or Milt Schmidt #15. I already have two Bergerons, a Jagr (long story), a Bourque, and an Orr. We shall see.

Shore #2 would be dope.

The shiny spoked B on the clean jersey looks like an award without going kitch. Perfect for 100.

One more sparkle and it'd look like the wheel on the Price is Right.
