He's going into his 10th season, and his age 30 season. He is what he is.
Smart did a lot of good things for the Celtics, but he's not the defensive player many think he is, and he's absolutely miscast as a PG. The offense, especially late game, dies with him handling the ball, and it's the reason he tends to chuck 3s, because teams back off him.
Good for for Memphis, much like Tony Allen was after he left here. But it's a trade you make as Boston 100% of the time.
Smart is also a big reason why they didn't win last year like they shouldve.
Skip Bayless is a dumbass, if he hated it, it's an even better trade.
