I love how he literally turned his back to the goaltender and roofed that backhander. He's such a unique player, I really hope the kid succeeds.

He's got some great things going for him. His puck skills are outstanding and his skating is definitely above average. He's not a plodder at all as seen above. He also has a relentless motor. He absolutely puts the effort in. Not always in the smartest or best way but some of that really can be coached out of him. Defense is about reads and those type of things can be learned.

He needs all the minutes he can get this season but I swear there's an NHL player there in a year or two.
