Chicago scores first but it's waved off for a high stick. They're reviewing it

Texas has had some great chances early on in this game.

They're calling it a goal after waving it off during play. So without a video review they have changed their minds and called it a goal

It looked like a good goal but weird. 1-0 Chicago

Full minute of 5 on 3 coming up for Texas. They failed to convert. Chicago is blocking a ton of shots

Mavrik Bourque sends the Teddy Bears flying with a rebound goal early in the 2nd. 1-1 game. Stankoven might get an assist on it, but possibly not cause it looks like it mightve been deflected by McKenzie on the way. For now Stankoven gets the secondary assist

Perfect cross-ice pass by Bourque finds Blumel for a one timer goal on the PP. 4-1 Texas

3 point night for Bourque
Stankoven has 1 tonight so his point streak is at 10 games

Oh man a beautiful give n go by Stankoven and Bourque but Stankoven just misses over the top of the net on the return feed. That would've been a beauty

Bäck to Karlstrom and he scores into the empty net shorthanded. Chicago pulled their goalie with 7 minutes left down 3. 5-1 Texas

Damn Grushnikov got so close to his first. Walked in and ripped a shot off the corner of the crossbar/post and out

The DF Dub
Texas wins 5-2.

Prospect scoring recap:
Bourque with 1 goal, 2 assists
Stankoven with an assist
Stranges with a goal

They play again tomorrow at 7pm CT

Here's @David Castillo video of the Stranges goal

I love how he literally turned his back to the goaltender and roofed that backhander. He's such a unique player, I really hope the kid succeeds.

He's got some great things going for him. His puck skills are outstanding and his skating is definitely above average. He's not a plodder at all as seen above. He also has a relentless motor. He absolutely puts the effort in. Not always in the smartest or best way but some of that really can be coached out of him. Defense is about reads and those type of things can be learned.

He needs all the minutes he can get this season but I swear there's an NHL player there in a year or two.
