I completely agree that the Pembroke Lumber Kings, the flagship franchise of the league, should be above this behaviour. The team should have participated in CPC's ceremony.
The following is not an attempt to justify, there is simply no reason why PLK or any team cannot show grace and honour/observe another team's achievement. MacTavish is not Sheldon Keefe, and did not represent the team well in this instance.
Without denying CPC's success under Jason Clarke, there is an undeniable trend over the past couple of seasons, and that is, CPC and Jason Clarke are usually, more then any other team, involved in unrequired drama. With officials, other teams, fans and as recent as this pre-season, other leagues and their officials. It is continuous.
Jason Clarke has won one championship. He is a good coach, who acts like an oaf, moreso then any other recent successful coach (lets be honest, his behaviour goes beyond swearing). He is not a good representative of how the league and authority within it should conduct themselves. PLK's and any other team should honour each other team's ceremonies (and PLK was wrong for not).... BUT, perhaps there are reasons that teams, fans, league officials, etc., have more issues with CPC then anyone else. Sometimes people are treated the way they deserve.
PS. Not hiding behind a blog keyboard coach. I am a CPC season seat holder and have told you face to face many times how thankful we are for the team's success. Please take a little advice, you will be better for it.
