I like those lines and I’m pretty sure that they would work ok, but I’m still inclined to have Laine and Fantilli sharing C duties and building on the on-ice bromance. If they are both having fun on the, it’s a huge win in my book.
I'd be afraid of their face-off success rate. Laine is about a 35% guy. Fantilli is very young and I would expect him to struggle for a bit.

2 points Id bring up here. 1) you get better by doing it so maybe they stuggle early and improve. Laine has been working on center duties though so youd have too assume that inudes faceoffs. 2) If Jenner or Roslovic play wing on either of those lines they can assist in the faceoff duties while the other guy plays the rest of the positional duties

Any sample size on Laine taking face-offs is going to be small but after he took a bath (17%) in his first game playing center (vs Vegas) I distinctly remember the news showing Laine working with Jenner or Kurls on taking face-offs. That next game he went out vs Caps and won 55.5%.

Who knows if it is a fluke/coincidence or maybe he just needed some tips from guys who know how to win face-offs and some practice. Time will tell but I am guessing prior to playing center in those games he likely practiced face-offs as much as a goalie practices slap shots.

Can you explain to me why there are three right-handed players in the first group in the PP, and only one left-handed player in front the net whom strength side is shooting too?
I won't even comment on Werenski.

I don't think that's a problem, certainly wasn't for Winnipeg's PP when it was the best.

Probably just because Gaudreau isnt playing and they felt the need to reward Bemstrom for some reason? I wouldnt read too much into it

Also, with claiming Martin, we sit at 49 contracts. Assuming Berni gets a contract, that makes it 50. If they want to keep dell for additional insurance, they need to shed a contract. Or not sign Dell/Berni

Voronkov can be sent to AHL Cleveland if he doesn’t make the Blue Jackets roster, but there’s a clause in his contract that allows him to return to Russia if he’s not on the NHL roster by the end of December. Kekäläinen said he thinks he’s going to make the initial roster.

“A lot of guys decide to lose a few pounds to improve their energy, get quicker,” Kekäläinen said. “Athletes go through that all the time, so Dmitri will find his optimal weight.

“I’ll say this, though: When he’s in front of the net trying to screen the goalie, I kinda like his size right now.”

Well, pencil Voronkov somewhere on your lineup sheet. Doesn't spell good news for Foudy, Bemstrom, or Robinson potentially.

FWIW Bemstrom is our top pre season scorer, I doubt they'll waive him until / unless he falls off significantly.

Robinson I think is a lock. He could do nothing all pre-season, they know what he will bring.

Voronkov is super slo-mo right now so for me if he's on the team it's 13F until we need a brawler. That or if he can drop some weight and get quicker then 13F until he does that.

Sounds a lot like Jarmo is aware that Voronkov would go to KHL if he doesnt make the NHL roster.

I'll bet on him being in the pressbox for the first few games at least. Then they'll eventually start to ease him into the 4th line goon role

Is there anywhere i can find a current training camp roster? I'm tracking CBJ and Monsters rosters and I have one too many forwards still listed as in camp. Also looking for Spencer Martin's jersey #.

Imagine if you put Voronkov on the 4th line with Kuraly and Olivier.
I already said that would be such a trollish line. Nothing like two beefy guy and the guy who is probably the most sociopathic on the team. Personally I love the idea of a difficult to play against goon line that can also be sent out after someone screw with the kids.
