he's gonna be the next GM here.
When KJ returns, we’ll already have two guys in the press box (Labanc/JVR/ZAR, and Harris/Johnson). No reason to let pyyhtia sit as a 14th forward if he can go to Cleveland. Two players to Cleveland to make room for KJ?
I missed the post with that tweet in it. This is indeed potentially interesting.I'm confused why the GM actually wants to speak to the media when it was just a demotion to Cleveland and a pending activation of KJ from IR.
listen, i love olivier, he's a great tough guy and has grown a ton of as a hockey player. great in the room, too. would love to keep him around for the right price.Would be so insanely stupid if they trade Olivier
Maybe Jiříček can be traded?I'm confused why the GM actually wants to speak to the media when it was just a demotion to Cleveland and a pending activation of KJ from IR.
Theyre just practicing so he has to join line rushes with some line. They won’t have him just standing off to the side. Can you explain why Danforth is alternating with Labanc?
overpay meaning more picks that could ultimately mean nothing. I don't even care about the goals, he brings a bunch of things this team lackslisten, i love olivier, he's a great tough guy and has grown a ton of as a hockey player. great in the room, too. would love to keep him around for the right price.
but he's shooting 30% so far this season. he's the kind of guy who teams overpay for via trade and overpay to keep when it comes time to sign them.
i'm not saying they should trade him, but until he signs an extension, as a pending UFA on a hot streak he is absolutely someone they should take calls on.
I don't think it would be insanely stupid. Might not be the smartest idea to trade him, but he is a UFA after this season, if the team doesn't plan on resigning him, may as well get something for himWould be so insanely stupid if they trade Olivier
There are times and players I'm happy to see traded for picks, this is not one of them. This is a player you do what you gotta do to sign him and take it to the last possible moment and of he straight up won't sign then you can cross that bridgeObviously, signing Olivier to a good extension should be the goal but if nothing can be done there then getting a Jeannot size haul for him isn't a terrible option. We don't have a second for the next two years.
I don’t care if he’s shooting 80%. He’s showing some good offense overall but much more imprortant he brings a toughness the Jackets otherwise totally lack. I mean 100% lack. Keep Olivier even though I know not getting that 3rd round pick will be devastatinglisten, i love olivier, he's a great tough guy and has grown a ton of as a hockey player. great in the room, too. would love to keep him around for the right price.

he brings toughness to the team and is good in the room – i am not discounting those things. i'm also not saying that this team needs to maximize cap efficiency of every contract.overpay meaning more picks that could ultimately mean nothing.
