Prospect Info: CBJ Prospect Thread XI

I’d say that NHLE number that is supposed to take their Junior numbers in order to “predict” the amount of points a player will put up in the NHL is probably the most pointless “advanced stat” there is.
Agreed and quoted for truth.

Don’t worry DSL, HFB, society, and year 2023, I’m a Monty Python fan, not a “racist” or “bigot”.
banned for attempting to get DSL thrown into the gorge of eternal peril

Unfortunately Voronkov's Kazan lost game 7 of the Gagarin Cup finals 3-2 to CSKA. Hopefully the last KHL game he plays for a long time

The silver lining is Voronkov didn’t shrink into a wall flower and is a gamer. That is some of the characteristics needed for a contender and this team. I am sad he lost but happy we are gaining this type of presence.

Apparently Svozil was cut from the Czech's roster after yesterday's EHC game... I've no complaints about that.

Have you heard if Jiricek is still around or did that injury knock him out also?
Still on the team according to this article:

Are we waiting for that next 3 point game for that update on Dumais??

:o

2 games against Sherbrooke, no points, and -4.

Underrated prospect. Won’t be a top 6 guy but will contribute

Marcel Marcel (6'4, 216 lbs) tried to hit him center ice tonight but it was like he hit a brick wall. He has the toughness and the speed to make it as a role player on the bottom 6. It won't be because of his playmaking skills.

I like him. Talking with Porty after the summer camp scrimmage we both agreed he’s a pesky player and while not sure if he’ll make it he’d surely be a guy opponents hate playing against.

Dimitry Voronkov - Someone posted the article yesterday and I can't find the thread but here is the translation. Here is the article.

Agent Voronkov: there was an offer from the NHL, he has not yet made a final decision
Pavel Panyshev

Hockey agent Alexander Chernykh, along with Yuri Nikolaev, who represents the interests of striker Dmitry Voronkov in the Winners agency, commented on the information about the interest of NHL clubs in the hockey player.

"We met with Dima, he has not yet made a final decision. He will receive a qualifying offer from Ak Bars. There was an offer from the NHL, but the decision, I repeat, will be made later by himself," Chernykh said in an exclusive interview with Championship columnists Pavel Panyshev and Alexander Rozhkov.

Recall that in February 2023, information appeared in the media, according to which the 22-year-old hockey player had already signed an agreement with the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Voronkov played 24 matches for the Kazan club in the current Gagarin Cup, in which he scored 12 (8+4) points

I would think any hockey player in his right mind would want to get out of Russia. It could only be a matter of time before hockey players are sent to the Ukraine front lines.

I still think he heads over. Probably just being cordial and polite meeting with them (like Texier did)

His agent said he’s signing with the CBJ, but expect a KHL-out-clause.
