Would be a massive failure if both the NHL and AHL clubs miss the playoffs. You really need at least 1 to be decent at all times.Let's hope we have AHL playoffs.

Cleveland has to actually qualify for that, and they're still last in their division right now.
Oh boy, didnt even check the standings. Assumed theyre in because of how they made Sillinger available for AHL playoffsLet's hope we have AHL playoffs.

James Malatesta was already back on the ice this morning after suffering a broken foot on February 23rd. He could play on Sunday if he’s cleared.
That’s great! I have no idea if Malatesta will become an NHL regular but I do know I love his feistiness on the ice. He’s a tough kid.Return confirmed for Friday
Pretty excited to see this kid away from Wisconsin. Probably wont get much PP time with Jiricek there but hopefully he gets a bit of a look.Corson Ceulemans to play his first pro game tonight in Cleveland! Sounds like it will be televised on Bally Sports Great Lakes (Cleveland).

And put him where? Id be too fearful of another Sillinger situation but he'll get stuck playing less than 10 minutes a night if things go south and would end up back in junior anyway.Dumais is clearly too good for the QMJHL. Is there any chance he could surprise and make the team similar to how DeBrincat made the Hawks in his D+2 season?
Might his develop be richer in Europe (Swiss League) than the Q?Dumais is clearly too good for the QMJHL. Is there any chance he could surprise and make the team similar to how DeBrincat made the Hawks in his D+2 season?
If he’d be willing to go to Europe, I’d like to see him explore that.Dumais is clearly too good for the QMJHL. Is there any chance he could surprise and make the team similar to how DeBrincat made the Hawks in his D+2 season?
The real question is if Halifax would allow him to leave and thats very likely a no. Its basically QMJHL or NHL.If he’d be willing to go to Europe, I’d like to see him explore that.
If not, I think he’s stuck another year down there with a trip to Cleveland when he’s done
Not ideal situation for him next year. Also, a trip to Cleveland might also be impossible as his team is one of the best in the CHL this year and will likely be even better next year. They will likely build a team to try to win it all next year, so his playoff will not be over unless they do really really bad.The real question is if Halifax would allow him to leave and thats very likely a no.
